then gallen drives forward with his legs pushing body and ball onto the line

Chin up sharks, you play like that every week and things will start to turn.

Just on the Gallen thing, the ref was standing over the top of the play the ball and obviously didn't see the ball on the line. Regardless, Gallen shuffled his body forward after he was on the ground. If it went to vid ref it would've been double movement

and with the morris issue while it should not have stopped play the dragons had a set line in defence and there was no sure thing the sharks would have scored in their last 2 tackles being still 50M out

I'm certain the ball-carrying arm was off the ground. Clear try.

Stuart will explode in the post match conference...guaranteed.

Archer had his worst game in a long time.

You know what though, Stuart deserves to blow up about that game. What is it with the referees lovefest with the dragons?

Some of the decisions made in that game were so ridiculous that even as a non sharks fan i was spewing for them. The Gardiner strip/stopping the play for Morris while he was down/ and the Paul Gallen 'no look' for the try was just absolutely stupid and arguably cost Sharks the game.

The Sharks played well today and its a shame they didnt get the 2 points for the effort they put in.

While that's true, that's not the issue. The real issue here you identified in your first sentence: it should not have stopped play. That's the end of it. Disgraceful call.

The sharks had 70% territory in the first half and came up with 4 points. They had far more chances, penalties than us and still couldn't do squat. Suck it up and give the dragons some credit

well f**k me gallen is clearly the strongest man in the world because he managed to keep that arm off the ground with 3 dragons players lieing on top of him and both shoulders pressed into the ground

open your eyes there is no way the arm carrying the ball did not touch the ground in the initial contact it should have gone upstairs but the result would have been a dragons penalty

You can't conclusively prove that, therfore benefit of the doubt, therefore try.

The ball was on the line. It's either a try or a penalty.
WHY was the result a play the ball?

IMO, Benefit of the Doubt. TRY.

I thought Cronulla got more than a fair go from the refs. We only got tackled in their 20m zone a lousy 15x in the match and we scored 4 tries.
All first half we were starved of possession as the Sharks got soft penalties and piggy backed upfield. Our defence was awesome. When we finally got some football, we scored.
Barrett moved off his line and dropped his shoulder into Morris who only had eyes for the ball, should have been a penalty.
If you think Gallen kept the ball off the ground before it touched the line you're deluded. Clearly a double movement.

Most supporters know their team defense isn't in the same league as the dragons.

It might be their way in praising the dragons

He ran into him you dumb f**k.

I suggest you acquaint yourself with the laws of rugby league, since your knowledge appears to be sorely lacking.

Pot, meet kettle.

Barrett clearly dropped the shoulder into him. Watch the replay again you moron. Also Gallen was clearly a double movement. Sharks benefitted by keeping the ball instead of us getting the penalty.

I will concede the Nightingale try was a double movement as well, though we would have received the penalty for the high shot, so it made little difference.

On an unrelated note, I was very impressed by the Gard(i)ner. Looks the goods. I do wonder why Soward waited until the 76th minute to try the chip play though. The Sharks back three stood very deep to cover Soward's long kicking game, and were ripe for a chip and chase the whole game.

Ahh so its gone from 'certain try, we was robbed!' to 'benefit of the doubt' now. Look, that wasnt where the game was won and lost anyway, what about gallen dropping it over the line?
