Yes, Manly were OK. Good in patches but also poor in other stages, particularly leading up the the Storm's try.
T-Rex seemed to drop his head after bombing that try before half time. For most of the second half he barely got into the game. Will Hopoate to, showed he's got loads of potential, but is obviously far from 100% fitness.
All in all though, it was a good win. Perhaps more so considering the injuries they sustained during the game meant they only had 2 fit players on the bench. I wonder how Watmough will pull up once his knee cools down. I was surprised to see him come out after half time but at that stage they needed all hands on deck.
As for the Storm..... they're just a nuisance team now. They'll throw it around and if the passes stick they'll score points. But if they fall behind, they don't have the desire to grind their way back into the game. What's happened to them this year has been a fair payback for the arrogance and petulance they've displayed over the past couple of years. To think they were so far over the cap and should never have had the playing group they did over the last 4 years.... just makes that 40-0 humiliation, all that much sweeter.
