Cronulla have seldom backed up good home performances with good away performances all season. Penrith 'deserve' 2nd for probably being there for most weeks during the season.

We do more than "deserve" it...we do f**kin deserve it.

Just because we had a 4 week lapse means we deserve it does it?

Name me a team that hasn't had a lapse in form...NONE

Any dickhead that says these guys don't deserve to be second for playing good footy for the majority of the season is kidding themselves

Panthers just blew them out of the water early even without four of their best.

The Sharks have been disgraceful though.

I agree. Tired of hearing people saying Penrith aren't the real deal.

Fitting end to Barrett's career, the money hungry piece of sh*t.
Go f**k yourself Trent.

As for the "do Penrith deserve it" sh*t, of course they f**king do.
Just because they have had a decent year and had sewn up their finals position some time ago and then had a lapse of sorts makes them no less deserving.
I suppose some people think they would have been more deserving if Penrith had of f**ked around for half the year and then made the finals in a mad scramble for position eight like Parra last year?
They deserve second place without question.

Good night for Graham to show us how big a mistake we've made. I'd prefer Graham/Burns for the finals. Tank didn't have a bad game either.

Do you ever not overreact to something someone says about your club?

Enjoy the fact you're the second-best team in the comp and stop getting stressed about others' comments dude. You have an awesome team and todays result with the players you've had missing is phenomenal, well done.

I'm very happy with 2nd place. I hope we can go all the way but I'm already proud of how the club has turned things around from some pretty ordinary seasons. Tonight's easy win showed that we do have some good depth. It highlighted how Frank and Wade will be big losses but also pleased to see how good the go forward was even without Petero, with big Sam and Tim Grant more than able to make good yards. Sharks were pretty terrible and not much of a yardstick but we could've gone down to their level with a few key players out, but importantly the guys lifted. Kingston was very good early and Gordon, Tighe and Jennings all showed spark too.

He was, and put on report if I'm not mistaken?

Nah. That was Douglas who was put on report wasn't it?

Snowden connected with Graham and Graham was down for a bit...dazed him a bit. Bicep to the head and was a swinging arm. But nothing in it...but I've seen less penalised.

I wasn't trying to overract mate. I'm just sick of people just saying we don't deserve to be second...rah rah rah. Its bullsh*t. The fact is aside from a period of 4-6 weeks we've played good footy all year. And if the people that said we don't deserve, if their teams had played consistent rather than the opposite maybe they would have been second. That is my point. We do deserve it. As you said and I agree with.

I'm just shocked we put 50 on the them without Lewis, Civ, Walsh and Coote.

Pritchard...what an enigma. Why can't he play like that every game. Its games like that...that make me shake my head.

Such a tough one, the Coote/Gordon thing. Gordon is the better player, and I believe a better fullback. But with Cootes ability to chase a kick are we a better team with him at fullback and Gordon at wing/center? Could it be a defensive liability moving Coote into wing when he hasn't played there all year? Does it even matter if Coote is at fullback for chasing kicks? Can he just come in the same way Jennings does whenever a kick is on?

To be honest mate they've been ready for the top six teams for over a week in the Wet Canvas :p

Good luck in the finals. You're third in my pecking order for support behind Saints and Warriors. :sarcasm:

Very happy with the win.
To be honest I'm surprised we put 50 on without Lewis, Walsh, Coote and Civoniceva. Sharks were pretty terrible, but we were good I thought.

Don't know if anyone else at the game noticed it, but at the end Adamson went to get an interview from Pritchard, but he brushed him off. Good stuff.

Ideally:

1.Coote 2.Earl 3.Jennings 4.Gordon 5.Tighe 6.Graham 7.Walsh 8.Grant 9.Kingston 10.Civoniceva 11.Waterhouse 12.Pritchard 13.Lewis

14.Burns 15.Smith 16.McKendry 17.Bell

Agree with this team 1000%. Looks perfect to me.
