For the record, I've been as frustrated by Souths inconsistency since 07 as much as anyone, as unlike most Saints fans, I don't hate them (and my wife is nominally a Souths fan). I'd love to see them being a strong side again, to put one up the News Ltd. f**kwits who punted them on the basis of a completely rigged "criteria". The booting of Souths is one of the gravest injustices in the history of Rugby League (along with the doing over of Norths). Unfortunately, there seems to be something about the joint that is simply incapable of taking the step up from mediocrity.

Whats there to hate about souths? Most people that i know just feel sorry for them.

It seems that maths isn't your strong point. Souths had 7 scores at an average of 37.7 per game... 3 times against sides in the top 4 and 1 against a side in 5th spot.

Dragons had 6 scores at an average of 33.5 points per game against only one of the sides in the top 4 and 1 other against a side in 8th spot.

I wasn't arguing the case against our inconsistency champ. :crazy:

You decided to post some ridiculous averages which nobody asked you to, or cared about. You didn't like that I told you Saints had scored 30+ in several matches so you decide to throw in some stupid averages. Was never part of the discussion before that.

I'll take our boring play that yields minor premierships over Souths exciting play that yields a botoom half finish any day of the week and twice on Sundays. When another team in the comp can match our defensive commitment while maintaining the "just chuck it around until something happens" attacking methods of the Tigers or Souths or Roosters, then the calls of "boring" might finally have a bit of weight. Currently, they're just a means of excusing other teams sh*t defence. "Oh, but we're exciting to watch, so it doesn't matter that we can't defend."
