The Dragons' opponent now entirely depends on tomorrows two results.

Manly win, Saints win = Saints v Canberra
Dogs win, Saints win = Saints v Manly
Dogs win, Souths win = Saints v Souths
Manly win, Souths win = Saints v Canberra

Canberra fans will be cheering for Manly, while Souths' fans will be right behind us.

I thought it was a reasonable question. Whether you choose to answer it or not is entirely your choice.

So this was your "reasonable" question?...
Just like last time eh?
Would this be the same "spare parts team" that you keep making excuses for when they lose?
Ok I'll humour you, the answer to both is of course, no. As you know, the spare parts team we thrashed you with 2 games ago is not the same team we have now. fmd, I can't wait to see your dumb questions.

Yeah. I guess the ref screwed you in all 50uffs close losses. Just keep hiding from the fact that your team wasn't good enough on more than one occasion this season and the position on the ladder indicates that.
Nanu Nanu... sorry Mork, I didn't say the ref screwed us in all our close losses, so you can get back in your little egg-shaped spaceship now.

Btw, we've lost 7 games this year by 4 points or less. It wouldn't have taken much of a turnaround to win at least half of those and if we had, we'd be right amongst the top 4. We didn't win them for various reasons, but I have no doubt whatsoever that we will be in the top 4 next year.
So how do you rationalise having 50 put on your team twice? Every team gets a thrashing once a season, but twice?
Dude, this year we've put 30 or more on..
Dogs (38)
Sharks (30)
Tigers (50 & 34)
Panthers (42)
Cowboys (32)
Warriors (38)

2 of those teams are in the top 4 and one is 5th. To rack up those sort of scores against top 8 sides is shows that we can beat anyone easily, but we've been inconsistent, which I'm sure Langy will rectify in the off season.

How many scores of 30 or more have the dragons recorded?

How stupid of me, I should have realised you were predicting a Souths victory tomorrow, because when you made this comment you were obviously expecting Souths to win...:sarcasm:

How in any way shape or form does a comment about us being down on troops at Homebush (which was in reply to Souths fans stating they will beat us easily), suggest anything about the result tomorrow?

How many scores under 20 have Souths kept sides to this year?

Saints 30 points or over hey?
Parra 30-0
Sharks 38-0
Tigers 34-10
Manly 32-10
Cowboys 33-8
Brisbane 34-16

Not your best argument in the world right there.

Of those teams listed Nemesis, the return games were disastrous on some occasions - both the Dogs (32) and Penrith (54) put big scores on you in the return serves.

I also counted four other times the Rabbits have had 30 or more put on them, six games conceding more than 30 points isn't a great record.

In fact, the Bulldogs only conceded 30 or more on six occasions as well.

You're in good company, it seems

Ok then, lets pretend I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt... so who so you think will win tomorrow?

It seems that maths isn't your strong point. Souths had 7 scores at an average of 37.7 per game... 3 times against sides in the top 4 and 1 against a side in 5th spot.

Dragons had 6 scores at an average of 33.5 points per game against only one of the sides in the top 4 and 1 other against a side in 8th spot.

I wasn't arguing the case against our inconsistency champ.

I've already said that we've been inconsistent and I'm sure Langy will work to rectify that, as I'm sure Kevin Moore will with your guys.

Interestingly, the common factor was that both our sides suffered a lot of injuries to key players at various times throughout the season. I have no doubt that the Dogs will be back as a force next season, as we should.

If the injuries are kept to a minimum, there's no doubt in my mind that Souths and Canterbury are top four sides. Unfortunately the depth at both clubs isn't that great and it only takes a couple of injuries and a few close matches and it's all gone.

I would debate the fact that we're more competitive though - Souths have been flogged a few more times than we have, as I mentioned in another forum we're the only (legitimate) team outside the eight to have not had 40 or more put on us, and unbelievably there's five finals-bound teams in that list, including the Tigers, Panthers and Roosters.

We've had so many close calls this year it's been painful.

For the record, I've been as frustrated by Souths inconsistency since 07 as much as anyone, as unlike most Saints fans, I don't hate them (and my wife is nominally a Souths fan). I'd love to see them being a strong side again, to put one up the News Ltd. f**kwits who punted them on the basis of a completely rigged "criteria". The booting of Souths is one of the gravest injustices in the history of Rugby League (along with the doing over of Norths). Unfortunately, there seems to be something about the joint that is simply incapable of taking the step up from mediocrity.

Same here. My Dad got his hopes up this year...poor guy. I almost want Souths to win today :p
