Sorry Mick, but from a unbiased viewpoint the refs had no impact on that game.

You are kidding me. I was at the game champ. It was pathetic. Not one offside penalty at all for us. Their markers were never square. It was f**ked. That was why we couldn't get a bloody line break. Every play the ball they were standing bloody 8 meters in.

Cummins and Suttor most definitely saw the centrebet odds of $6 at halftime.

Credit to Parra they took advantage of the things that went their way. Hayne was fantastic.

You bunch of dunces Penrith.

Reminds me of the Raiders vs Tigers match at Bruce this season.

Say what you like about Phil Gould, he had it bang on when he said the kick is all the Panthers have got. 4 tries tonight from kicks, the other from an intercept. That's al, well and good when it works, but when it came to the crunch they had nothing.

The Panthers will not win a finals match in 2010 I have no doubts in my mind.

To be fair most Penrith fans just asked for a finals appearance this season. Its not booked yet though, back to back home losses who knows what's coming up. Awful loss tonight and all because we relaxed and allowed the Eels to score tries and build confidence. Bloody Mckendry should've learnt how to play the ball ages ago.

What's worse is we've played the Eels back in to form and confidence, winning a game like this. I swear their attitude stinks when things aren't going their way, but then they start to throw a few around and it sticks, its amazing how easy they make attack look against a side that allows them to offload and drops intensity.

Very disappointing and I've reviewed expectations again. I just hope for a finals appearance of some kind.

Ah This is a depressing drive home.

I am funnily enough not angry with the players. Sure Purtell and waterhouse played like garbage but we we given no opportunities in that second half at all. I'd love to know penalties and possession for the second half. I dunno... I'm not giving up hope. We have grant and Lewis to come back yet and we can build towards the finals. Congrats to parra but.

I'm not sure if I will bother watch any more Parramatta games this season. The commentary lovefest about Hayne is simply 'vomiticious'.

Two painful weeks as a Penrith fan. It must be getting towards that time of the year when Matthew Elliot teams fall in a heap. FFS.

If Penrith were to miss the 8 from this position which is unlikely but not impossible, it would be really hard to get enthused about 2011. This is a make or break year for the club, they really need to bounce back quickly from these 2 demoralising losses. Good news should be that we have the Sharks and the Cowboys left in the run home, we surely have to be able to win those 2 matches atleast. Surely not even Penrith could miss the 8 from this position, but you'd think a team couldn't lose when 22-0 up after 22 minutes either...

Also Waterhouse was really bad tonight. I'm a Panthers fan but I don't know how he made Origin. Terrible hands.

Oh come on.. from NRL.com report:

"Hot on the heels of his three-try effort against North Queensland last Monday, it was virtually Hayne 34-Penrith 28 as the champion fullback gave the blue and gold army hope of 2009 happening all over again."

Well I'm not goin to lose hope yet. Still sitting in 2nd and have a bloody good opportunity for a home final. Parra played well. Deserved the win. We can't afford to fall asleep during games anymore though

Penrith got a real wake up call. At 22-0 they thought the game was over and done with.
I don't think the Panthers need to hit the panic button just yet.
Next 3 games are Storm, cowboys and Raiders. So a chance to get right back into form very quickly.
If they lose to the cowboys however... Well that panic button will get a real good work out.

Apparently its all down to Hayne the Eels form. If Hayne was to get injured, the Eels momentum would be killed then and there.

I agree with that.

We'll have Grant and Lewis back in 2-3 weeks. That'll be immense for us as both have been in our top 4-5 players all year.

I agree with Caged Panther...while the Ref's were absolutely garbage...we had the fair end of good calls last week we didn't deserve.

End of the day our defense didn't hold up, Parra were attacking well and we didn't deserve it in the end.

I just hope we can somehow get back on track and gain momentum leading into the finals
