True -Spandau Ballet
Rock and Roll, Pt. 1 -Gary Glitter
Funky Town - Pseudo Echo

These 3 all had a number of hits and career longevity...
Spandau Ballet and Glitter for sure, but what the hell else did Pseudo Echo ever do?

"Listening" (probably their best song)
"A Beat For You"
"Love An Adventure"

"Funky Town" was a last gasp cover version desperation move.

The original by Lipps. Inc was a hit and a lot better.

I'm not a Pseudo Echo afficiando, in case you're wondering...

Rock Me Amadeus -Falco

LOL, has anyone got the Bloodhound Gang's Hooray For Boobies album. Their "tribute" to Falco is classic: "This next track goes out to a pipe-hittin' gentleman who ain't wit us no more"...

Cheers,
Ben S.

Yep. I love that song. The pacman on crack bit pisses me off though.

Cameo - Word Up

 one of the most hilarious looking moustaches on the lead singer. The whole group oozes homosexuality.

About a month ago on Rage the English band Elbow requested both Word Up and a song of theirs called 'Candy'. Candy is a brilliant song, pure 80's class :)

How about Los Del Rios - Macarena?
El Coconuto....that won the Greatest 100 one hit wonders....finished as number 1

 that's gold chileman!

I remember watching a World Series baseball game years ago and everyone in the crowd was doing the dance to it. I mean everyone! All Yankees fans albeit. I was like "what the hell is this sh*t"! Two months later, it came out over here and it all made sense. Haha crack up! Now barely anyone would even know the name of the blokes that sung it. Now that's the true sign of a one hit wonder! :p

What was the official top ten chile?

This is old, from the 70s - Spirit in the Sky - Norman Greenbaum

You may have heard it in the movie Remember the Titans

I stand corrected. I only ever heard "Funky Town" (I would've only been 9 or something when it came out) and wasn't aware of the earlier stuff, so you can understand why I thought they were one-hit wonders!

Baby it's you - Promises, this is a great one hit wonder!!, the best thing about this song even though the song was cool was the film clip!!, the female singe rhad the biggest set of tit's you'd ever wan't to see, unfortunately see had a late 70's Bowie hair cut & her Brother ( keyboardist) was a small little pretty boy blonde

Great song though, go and download it, you'll know it!

Another is " Le Freak", i love it aswell :D

True -Spandau Ballet

They actually had a few hit's, Gold was also massive for them.

What about " I ran" by A flock of seagulls!!.......this song was the shizz.....brillant!!!!!

Anyone else think the singer from Elbow looks a lot like Shane Webcke? I thought it looked dead-set similar when I saw a bunch of their clips on Rage a few weeks back. Was funny, Webcke singing Coldplay-esque tunes. :p
