QLD
Matt Scott - 155m
Petero Civoniceva - 146m
Ben Hannant - 127m

NSW
Jason King - 25m
Trent Merrin - 32m
Kade Snowden - 56m
Tim Mannah - 57m

NSW forwards were embarrassing.

So the two bench props made more metres than the gut they replaced hey. FMD. This has been THE problem for NSW for 5 years. Don't care who they keep or get rid of, it won't matter a f**k. This state has no go forward.

i wonder if Bozo's token selection gets a recall for game 2?

i guarentee if he doesn't, another Manly forward will come into the fray...
If Bozo insists on his token Manly player, it should be Watmough...don't be to shocked if it's George Rose or Brent Shite instead

He was selected in the side based on his form last year. Keep crying into your cornflakes mate because he will be at the back next game.

that was last year, what about this year? Haynes form this year has been alot better then Dugans, but i agree he should be back in game 2 and so should Hayne as our play maker, he's the most creative player NSW have, why not utilise it....i have no idea what Sticky thinks...

Can't believe the Hayne/Dugan crap going on in this thread. Dugan had a good game behind a well beaten pack and there's no question Hayne needs to be in the team.
The fact we are even discussing having one or the other out of the side just points to how f**king moronic Ricky Stuart is.

Dugan's stats
13 runs for 133m
1 try assist
4 tackle breaks
4 tackles
4 errors

A solid debut. One of those errors was that pass above his head

Sorry, why were they the better side?
Queensland still kept getting attacking sets, it was a very even match.
Queensland class got us home in the end.

Im just saying that QLD played well for a total of about 20mins, the rest of the time they were dropping ball and not doing much. We defended like animals but stupid errors cost us in the end, as did QLD's class.

Take it to the Parra thread so you can all climax together.

Ummm you were not listening to Gould??

They were clearly better, will be better, have more better, and will wake up better, with a lot better.

Exactly what a silly argument. If a person just takes a glance at the "effort" of the forwards how the hell could they be arguing about Hayne V Dugan. Put them both in the side and get some decent props.

It wasn't just the metres made (although that was an utter disgrace) but the defensive line was terrible. I support the Raiders and I have seen some bad defensive lines this year but jesus christ this is a rep game.

The forwards have to take responsibility for the line speed and the shape of the defensive line.

Talking about Hayne v Dugan is a moot issue. Both should be in the side. However until we can at LEAST compete with the Queensland forward pack its going to be the same old story.

And people keep banging on about the halves and the backs. No idea. Our prop rotation is f**ked.

NSW were the better team for 60 minutes but relentless pressure, some stupid errors and a touch of QLD class got them home. Nothing to get too worried about, some minor tweaks to the forward pack is all we need.

So Queensland only have to play for 20minutes to win, thats not a good thing you know.

You needed to win this game, Q will be on for 60 next game, Inglis and Hodges should be back.

NSW will get pumped.

Great argument. Yes, he will be picked ahead of the best player in NSW again because Stuart is more stubborn than he is practical. And we will lose.

They've dropped our best player, a proven performer, for a young fullback coming off the back of injury who's played a handful of games this season. Dugan could have played the game of his life and it'd still be no more than what Hayne has already done for us. Hayne would have ripped that QLD right hand defense to shreds as he has done all season.

Common sense would have seen Hayne at fullback, Dugan another year and Hayne time to move into the halves.

But no, we'll just lose and you Raider tards will cheer it on.

i reckon M Scott was MOM.

he was fantastic.

NSW props didnt aim up enough.
and when we had opportunities...we just lacked the polish.

then again they upped the tempo straight up after nsw got infront.

I will probably get shouted down for this but I thought it was a rubbish game. QLD coasted along for a lot of it and only when it mattered did they really put the hammer down and become ruthless. A lot of QLD's attack was disjointed but I guess that will happen with a rookie centre on one side, though his defence was really good I thought (Nielsen). QLD's forwards were much more composed and prepared to put some effort in, the NSW front row was atrocious, utterly atrocious, King may as well stayed in the dressing sheds with his suit on because he was non-existant.

Sorry, but that game was very ordinary in my eyes. There was f**k all fire and brimstone that origin generally brings, Boyd FFS made the biggest hits of the night. The first game is generally the worst one of the series, hopefully that is the case with this series because that was pretty frustrating to watch even as a rabid QLD fan.Maybe I expect too much from QLD????? I dunno, I just didn't think either side really looked all that polished.

Matt Scott was MOTM for mine, f**k me he is a wonderful player to watch.

I got the impression watching QLD that they were happy to stay in 2nd gear unless they needed more. And when they did, they scored a very easy try. That's the concern, we got close but I just haven't taken much confidence out of it....it always seemed like QLD could put the foot down at any moment whereas something just always seemed off about NSW.

As Gould said, there won't be any changes. Still think we need more up front and some form of attacking weapon on the right - not sure what was up with Gaz, very passive game from him tonight like his mind was elsewhere. I've written enought about Scott and will leave it at that. Uate was fantastic on that side of the field but saw very little ball when we had good field position, did most of his work coming out of our own end.

i think a good balance would be Dugan remains as well as Hayne, however Hayne needs to have aroving role to set up players around him
