I still have big question marks on the blues ability to attack. Tonight with tons of ball their backline went from side to side to side. I just think they need to get some real structure in their so they can unleash their two match winners on the wings.

I know everyone is giving Gallen the wraps, and rightly so, but both he and Mannah started the game brilliantly and allowed us to dominate rather than Queensland ala Game I. What did you guys think of Mannah's performance? I'd give him an 8/10 because him and Gal worked very well together, and his contributions were quality. He doesn't look out of place at SOO does he, and it's great considering how young he is.

NSW should essentially keep what they've got for Game III barring injury. If Hoppa's hammy is long-term, bring back Jennings possibly, or Josh Morris if he shows some form. Only other possible change would be Merrin out, TLL or Tolman in on the bench.

I'll never rate Sticky as a coach but boy he knows how to get a team up for a game.

Bring on Game 3 baby

Gallen has to be man of the match.

Queensland now know what's infront of them, they got ambushed tonight but if injuries are kind will be ready Game 3.
Doesnt say much for Hagan then. To me it was obvious before the 1st game how NSW were going to play, they just executed it a whole lot better this game

Amazing game, my first ever live Origin match and certainly won't be my last. The TV definitely doesn't convey the atmosphere, it was f**king INSANE!!!

Thought that almost everyone in the team was good last night. Our two worst were probably Ennis and Gasnier, but Gaz did a lot of work in defence (people need to realize he does not have the speed or agility to do what he used to do in attack). Merrin was, sadly, out of his depth .. But he still tried his hardest and didn't hide. He will definitely be a great prop for NSW down the line, but at 21 it's a bot too early. I'd have Tolman there (or TLL if they want impact off the bench) in Game 3, but I can see Stuart being loyal to his squad.

Gallen, Lewis, Gidley all played huge matches. Uate was excellent, as was Hopoate. Soward clearly nervous to start the game, but he was the most influential half in the 2nd stanza, and his goalkicking played a big part in winning the game. Pearce was very good.

NSW are going to get f***ing belted. We got completely smashed in the front rowers in Game 1, so the answer is pick even fewer front rowers next game. I'm a Knights fan but picking Gidley as well as Lewis makes no sense at all - unless the plan is to name Gidley at Fullback and bring in a front rower on to the bench (and even then we'd be stupid not to pick Stewart at Fullback).

Fairly sure Stuart is trying to get himself sacked from the Origin job so he can go coach Penriff next year. Only answer I can come up with that ridiculous team.

Has any front rower made more than 200 metres in an Origin match before? Matt Scott is going to eat the Blues up. Seriously...in a game where it was completely lost in the front row why on earth would we make that front row even lighter than the game before it?

It is perplexing. I don't understand the thought process behind it. Yes it is more mobile but the QLD defence is far too good and too consistent to be worried by that. We needed size and lots of it.

Lack of size and talent isn't going to get over a dominant bigger quicker team no matter how much a few people on a forum get behind them mate. Get real.

With 2 specialist props...of which are both very raw when it comes to origin?

This would be like picking Wesser for QLD at fullback. NSW - NO IDEA

They beat us in game 1. Their game 2 team is better than their game 1 team. Our game 2 team is worse than our game 1 team. Game over. 6 straight.

Passion! Ennis took that in the field of play and ran it over the dead ball line. Don't give me safe option!

I made sure I scoured this thread to make sure someone else was as pissed off at this as what I was. Ennis the f**king soft merkin preferred the soft option of running at 10 METRES to make it dead rather than have a go and face the defence. f**king pathetic.

Pretty sure he'd been told by the trainer the previous set he was being subbed off, hence why he ran dead.

I like the way Pearce has been defending in the last 2 games.

He obviously knows they're going to run Third Man at him so he's got this attitude of "f*ck it, I'll beat him to it" and rushes out of the line to belt him. Good tactic.
