For the record, I'm not trying to excuse Morris for a dumbf**k play. It's just that I'm not enough of a dumbf**k to attribute the loss to a single error across an 80 minute game. Clearly no such reservations on your part.

I'm assuming you're talking about Morris? He doesn't lack potency at all. He just doesn't come looking for work. Unless there is a backline movement occuring that includes him, you barely spot him during a game. He needs to come into dummy-half and take more runs. He needs to be supporting other ball carriers more. He has all the speed in the world and rarely does he utilise it.

To the guy that blamed our loss on Morris. :lol:. While it was a massive blunder that could easily have been diffused, it didn't cost NSW the game.

Merritt is in his prime and is in top form this year. He is a specialist winger, good defensively, 108 career tries. He'd be the ideal winger and Hayne is streets ahead of Minichello as fullback.

5 years ago the Minichello pick would be awesome, now it's bloody terrible.

I dislike Jarryd Hayne intensely, but he has been best for NSW playing on the wing - and with the frequency at club level with which he is caught out of position on long kicks, I fully agree with the decision to put him in the #2.
