You all obviously missed minichellos elbow into tamous face while he was on the ground, thats what started it all

IMO it was still a gutless act from Tamou and then the equally gutless turd Ashton Sims tries to play the tough man on Minichello on the last tackle. Leave the tough stuff to your little brother who actually is and can really play the game, you just continue to be a pussy and live in his shadow.

Gutless? How? Tamou got elbowed in the head, Minichiello deserved everything he got.

Seeing Thurston that happy was awesome. That guys a class act. Watching him running/hobbling along the sideline before the game started high fiving every single kid that was there was nice to watch.

No idea how he doesn't get anything but respect from league fans.

He has chilled a lot this season...seems to be more of a good guy now than the dummy spitter he was.

See i don't really buy that. He was just frustrated, imagine being that competitive and being let down by your team mates every year for 3 or 4 years.

If the Cowboys didn't have the best recruitment drive in recent memory for this season we would probably be seeing the same JT we had been seeing over the last couple of years.

North Queensland got the win. Two points in the bag, but I have serious misgivings over the performance.

There just doesn't seem to be an adequate game plan going into these games without Thurston. Payne and Bowen are seemingly always in two minds over which direction to take the team, and Thompson is left without a focused role. When you couple this some atrocious defence and you get a side that is limping to victories against very weak sides and will get belted by anyone who shows up with an attitude to win.

What I see in the side at the present time is a lot of selfishness. Wingers are seeing a paucity of the football. This is resulting from centres, backrowers and even the halves deciding they will take the line on as opposed to putting the ball through hands. They can't all see themselves as heros.

We saw both ends of the spectrum last night of course in two distinct plays. When we finally showed a passing game the result was an electric passage which resulted in KFFL streaking away down the sideline, he then displayed tremendous vision to put the ball on the toe which lead to the try. Fabulous stuff! But then juxtapose that with Tonga's effort on his try when he clearly would have been better served by passing on to KFFL, you then get a sense of the greediness which some of the players possess. Tonga is not the only one guilty of this charge.

At any rate this needs to change if we are to beat Penrith next week. They had us pretty figured out the last time we met and I doubt their game plan will change much. Simply put the side needs to loosen things up and get the ball to the players who can do real damage.

^This is what is going to happen with a young team and an extremely dominant halfback.
Thurston demands the ball, he's not like a Lockyer or a Smith that sits back a bit more and has touches along with others.

I honestly think this is what any team with Thurston would be like, though other teams might have a bit more confidence in themselves when he's not playing with them.
They're improving, 2 years ago this sort of situation would have been unheard of....we would have got our butts kicked.

A team this young having to keep the finals spot warm is a big task, but this is Henry's bread and butter, and hey...it's great we're probably going to make it this year...but the work done this year will possibly get us a premiership level side next year or after.
