Really looking forward to this, never been to Penrith before (to the best of my recollections).

Hopefully there'll be a decent amount of Manly support to.

Manly are a gun side this year but we usually fire up for them at Penrith. We'll need Luke Lewis fit and firing though if we're to win otherwise we won't have the points in us to win. Purtell will probably cost us a try or two so we'll have to make that handicap up as well.

I'm a Panthers supporter, but I can't imagine us winning if Manly show up. We have Adrian Purtell out on the wing and all you need to do to score is kick the ball directly to him. He'll fumble it and all you have to do is fall on the loose ball.
Yes! MX tipped the other team, Penrith are sure things now :D

In last years clash,we tore the paint off the wall when we played Manly (In Pink!! and who can ever forget that team try that Gorden scored?) at Penrith Park.

As you said,we usually "lift" when we play Manly....It'll be a cracker fer sure.

The public have been crying for weeks for a decent Sunday game and this match-up will go really well with a nice Sunday roast dinner.:thumn

I couldn't remember a thing about that game until you mentioned wearing Pink. I think Jennings might have went alright.

Still, this years Manly would beat last years Manly by 30. I think we should be alright this week.

The first half was one of the best halves of footy all year. Both teams completed all their sets and each team only made 3 errors in the entire game.

Obviously it's easier to like/remember the game with my team having won. But I remember a lot of neutrals having said it was a great game. Some pretty decent footy played with very few errors.

That was the best performance by a Penrith side since 2003.
The best thing about it at the time was we threw the ball around and scored through running the ball. I seem to remember Wade Graham had a monster game...

We'll need a similar performance to beat Manly, but should be a great game either way.

Last year when we went down to Penrith, we were shot ducks and the Panthers were flying high, this game won't be anything like that.

Purtell really isn't that bad. He's not great by any stretch but he's hardly letting in two or three tries every game.

Having said that, surely Penrith have someone else in the ranks they can bring in.

Any who'll be commentating this game? I remember reading around the time Gus took over at Penrith that he wasn't allowed to commentate on their games given it was a conflict of interest.
