Manly are gooooonnnnnne :D:D Matai and King thugs and deserve 2 weeks for cheap shots. Bulldogs must take oscars for diving. DCE worst game ever maybe he thought he was still on the red carpet handing out awaards.:roll:

I was pretty impressed with some of the Bin Laden twins runs last night. Think it was Kasiano, they both look very similar at the moment. One in the last 5 minutes was great, dragging 3 or 4 with him. Manly needed our own fatman out there last night.

My two cents:

Fingers should be pointed at Toovey for not getting his team to stick to the game plan and stay composed.

Intimidating the Dogs did nothing but lead to players on report and they had the backline to match the Dogs but the structured attacking moves were nowhere to be seen.

Cherry-Evans went MIA...unacceptable in a game like this. Matai and King could go on early holidays but players were falling in the tackle so not fussed either way.

The Dogs were good...composed and hung in there.

Tolman is a gun - bloody underated and does the hard work in the ruck. Kasiano and Pritchard were the key and they delivered the platform well for Keating.

Manly rolled the dice and lost...

thats a fair assessment Kia , pretty much how i summed it . I think that is where Hasler is the key to the dogs success, because im pretty sure it looked like the dogs knew exactly what to expect ie Manly coming to brawl and try to intimidate rather than dazzle with footy..bulldogs just rode it out and took the game. Kudos to Des Hasler.

I would have thought that we would have learnt from the Brookvale game. We tried to bash them and they weathered it and won. Exact same thing happened again.

Toovey showed his inexperience IMO...he should have got the team to go out and play a controlled normal game but instead they acted like maniacs and it bit them big time.

Stewart although scoring a try was ineffective because the backline moves had no structure and it went pear shaped the moment Watmough and co decided to play aggro ball in the first half.

You talking about the player that The Dragons lied about his address? You still going to get the club to sue me for those comments? loser!!
Haha! I thought I recognised the hysterical posting style. Looks like I touched a nerve.

All these years later and you're still making up bs.

What a win! Tough, grinding, brilliant.

Manly surely have to recall George Rose - he and Brett Stewart were the difference in Round 8 IMO.

Matai is gorrrrn though.

Solid game, we just have to get the stupid errors and penalties out of our game.

Manly never looked like winning even when they were in front.

Dogs defence at the start of the game set the tone. DCE played poor and Manly looked lost in the second half, maybe it was just no Lyon.

In general play I thought the biggest difference was the kicking and fielding of the kicks. Manly's territorial kicking wasn't good but the Dog's back 3 were positioned well and most tellingly really closed the kicks down aggressively. In contrast Manly's back 3 were not as well positioned, were slow to get to the ball and took a safety first approach in picking it up. I thought this negated Manly's territorial advantage when their forwards were winning the battle and really choked Manly out of the game in the second half when the Dog's pack was on top.

Good that we got the right decision on the Pritchard blocking for Barba play, hopefully Des puts that one back away for the rest of the finals.

I was amazed that big George wasnt in the 17, Mauro just doesnt have the same impact.

Dogs were ruthless in defence and deserved the win. I think the Eagles will be very hard pressed to get over the top of the Cowboys

As long as Lyon is healthy our backline should still be fine, they will probably shift Whare into centre and Oldfield will come on to the wing, but if Lyon is out we are farked.

Thought the Dogs were just better in all parts of the game. The guy that troubled them the most is a Dog next year anyways, all the best for the year, hoping we can bounce back next week.

The guy who troubled us most is also very error-prone and probably stopped you guys having a clear lead early in the game.

He remains rocks and diamonds IMO.
