Are you trolling?
No I thought it was pretty clear. opened up space for McManus in the first half only to be tackled brilliantly by Coote, cut up the middle in the second half, if Beau Scott was half a second quicker would have scored next to the posts. He also saved the Brett Morris goof at the back as well.

I thought his touches were class.

I also noticed Pearce and Farah work very well together. They both know their moments on where to take the kick and they just seemed generally in sync. He did enough to retain and Carney did enough to get the no.6.

On a side note, why didn't Soward play? I'm not a fan, but give him a chance to keep his spot in the game.

What game were you watching?

Even Mullen's kicking game was superior to Farrah's, Carney's was much better too.

Good bloke? Why do you think Ennis kept being chosen over him for Origin last year? It sure as hell wasn't because Ennis was a revelation at that level.

In Origin you need the team to gel well together, especially because the Queensland players have become so acustomed to each other. Farrah is a cat, and while there is no doubt he has talent he is completely wrong for Origin. Buderus has the respect of his teammates, he provides excellent service from dummy half and is a great defender. Yeah it's not the best situation, but he's the best option.

Name me one bad Farah kick? All his kicks found space or got a dropout, what game were you watching?

Ok Mullen and hayne were both very poor but at least hayne can confirm he should be wing or fb for origin. In the forwards woods and Douglas gibbs were the best props, bird really solid as expected, sims didn't do much (due to mins really) but what he did do was awesome as expected . Farah mom , Pearce and carney locked down the halves although Wallace might still be a chance at 7 Pearce deserves it, Lawrence, Morris j and Lelia were solid with Lawrence shading them given he played on his unnatural side all game, wingers -turner was solid but not origin, ferguson has too many mistakes in him for mine , wolf man solid

That line there is the most important and is why Pearce is a long way ahead of Mullen.

Mullen was awful today, Pearce was a stand out. Pearce stood up in the last 10 minutes. Both Pearce and Carney had their moments and should be the halves for NSW.

Carney has a better long range kicking game and passing game than Mullen.
For the Blues' jumper maybe, but in general no. Pearce isn't a match winner, he is the kind of player who can do well when his forwards are busting them up. He cannot turn a match when the chips are down and his play book is limited. That said, Mullen's game has the same limitations, that's why Pearce needs a player like Carney alongside him, they should make a good pairing.

Mullen has too many switch off moments for me, he looks good in patches and the rest of the time he looks like a passenger or plain ordinary. A few kicks he put through lacked finesse while Pearce can have the same flaws generally saves his better plays for the crucial moments like today.

Woods was my motm I thought he was a stand out. I don't know if that means origin though, maybe next season or if a lot of injuries occur. I would love to see him take the experience back to club footy and see if it lifts his game.

From a Wests Tigers perspective I don't want Farah picked, Lawrence has not been up to scratch and Woods does not need the treatment that Stuart gives props. It seemed to Merrin a while to get back into form after Stickys terrible rotation policy, same with Galloway. I really don't want our best young up and coming prop exposed to that.

Bird should not see Origin in 2012.

The error for mine that let Country back into the game was Fittler playing both Buhrer and Fulton for a long stretch at the same time.

Fein has been living in NSW for a little while now, he might be willing to pull on the sky blue.

Pearce has a lot more confidence than Mullen, probably due to not having his career marred by injury.

As I said earlier, Pearce is always looking for the ball, when you get that involved it's bound to pay off eventually.

I think Mullen has way more natural ability than Pearce, but until he becomes more consistent shouldn't be considered for Origin. Which is a shame as he has a lot of potential, Mullen finds the grass more often than any other player when it comes to long range kicks, the fact Pearce and Soward struggled so bad with this last year cost us badly.

It took Bennett a season to get Soward into true Origin calculations.

Mullen is a player who will deliver next year if he is ever going to

Mannah if fit will be there. He got a pretty nasty cut early on but it is amazing how often you can forget he is out there and all of a sudden he has made huge metres and tackles.

Mannah always seems to get metres when he runs and always gets quick play the balls.

Tamou, Gallen and Mannah will be there. Merrin v Woods for the other spot or if they go with two props and move Gallen back to lock then Douglas looked good. They might test the water with Sims or Learoyd Lars. Both huge units.

Yeah, Soward is a douche, but having Carney at full back and Soward at five-eighth would have made sense.

Would Soward have played 6 last year if Carney had his head screwed on and Campese wasn't injured? I doubt it very much. He should get a shot to defend his spot but he has had that chance every week and hasn't run the ball a lot and looks like he is still getting used to life after Wayne.

I just like the idea of Carney at fullback, it would piss Eels' fans and Raiders' fans off so bad. Also it would give us the opportunity to have a bonus play maker.

Carney and Pearce surely the frontrunner halves now, they both played strong. Mullen was average and Hayne even worse.

Some good performances out there actually, I thought Josh Morris was close to best on ground. Ferguson looked dangerous. For the forwards Merrin, Woods, Sims, Bird, and Douglas were strong.

Quite an entertaining game.

you are a f**king idiot. josh morris best on ground? that will do me. he was out played by bj ffs. lawrence should easily be centre for nsw over him.

Soward could have been on the bench, I just think it's wrong for him not to get a chance to keep his NSW jumper.

Berrigan inside him helping with defence has done wonders for that part of his game this year, lapses do happen though as seen today
