Very good defense. The better team for large stretches of the game. Adam Reynolds will be the real deal. Sam Burgess will reaffirm the fact that he is the best forward in the game. Souths a lock for the top 4.

The improvements to the team that Maguire has provided have already been evident. Would a better result have been nice? Sure. But trials aren't for that. Plenty of examples of teams losing trials only to go onto a successful season.

Counting down the days till we murder the spoon contenders also known as Little Brother.

Another season of shit coming up form the overhyped rabble known as Souffs. Enjoy !!!!:D:D:D

Superstar halfback Reynolds dropout being kicked in front of the tryline, about 20 metres forward and 20 metres over the sideline was the highlight of the match for me. Looking forward to more!

I don't think Souffs game plan of trying to unsettle the opposition by being the grubbiest team in the NRL is going to work.

3 players on report and they looked like giving a penalty away every tackle.

Most importantly though it doesn't disguise their complete lack of halves. Reynolds was useless, Sutton anonymous as usual.
Geez you're a whinging bastard aren't you. Did a little bunny scare you when you were a child or something?

Souths halves proven as pathetic, only way to score is through the forwards barging over within the 10. Nobody really expected any better though.

Oh I get it.

If fans from another team are happy to win a trial, you can mock them for being "March/February" premiers.

When a team you don't like loses though, they have a "proven" liability.

Nice.

Trials now exist solely to confirm Sputneeks' theories. Don't make the mistake of thinking otherwise.

Does this mean Souths are now "certainties" for the spoon? February spooners perhaps?

BunniesMan may be a tad optimistic sometimes, but I dare say he and other Souths fans hardly have cause to be slitting their wrists after that.

Thats true, although Bunniesman was a little more than a 'tad' optimistic. He repeatedly stated "we got this" and predicted a 46-not many scoreline. Then he was happy with a loss - wierd

You can't seriously be suggesting that this was Souths? Saints never really looked like losing.

Saints played really well, best I've seen them play since we beat them last year and they started to slide for the rest of the year. Was disappointed in a lot about Souths in that game, handling was atrocious and outside backs never looked convincing, King in particular is a disappointment and shouldn't make the team based on what I've seen so far. But I liked the look of Reynolds a lot and Sutton put in a quality performance. Defensively we looked better too, except for King who looked like an amateur on the wing for the second trial in a row. Some of the refereeing calls were atrocious though

Don't think Madge will be the messiah, but I do think we'll be an overall improved unit once those errors are ironed out. Hopefully that will get us into the 8

There where patches in the second half when Souths looked like getting in front but poor handling let us down and the Saints held out.
I thought it was a good game for the pre season good defence from Both sides and room for Improvement, our pack got over the Saints pack but the Saints had a lot more class out wide and it showed.
18-12 and no injuries I'm happy
Our defence on the goal line improved %100 and the ruck looked tighter.
Reynolds will get better and plays the team game.

Creagh is a machine did he get MOTM ?

Only watched the last 30 mins but enough to give me a mad boner for Cam King

My thoughts on the game!!!!

- souths done some good things
- saints did done some good things
- souths look good for the 8
- souths look like shit, saints should finish above them
- proud of the boys, top effort for a trial
- go topes woooo!

I know you're trying to mock my post but your mate Bunniesderp said that my team were certainties for the spoon despite winning all trials and honestly I wasn't impressed by Souths at all, seemed like the only way to the tryline was through forwards jumping from 1m out. But in saying that you have Merritt and Inglis on the sidelines, two players who can find their way to the tryline well and in combination with Taylor and Burgess you guys will definitely be enjoyable to watch. Bring on round 1.

Not sure who got motm.
You must be one of the few non Dragon fans who can see past the stupid comments about Creaghs fighting ability.
