This is the most confident I've been in ages. We have a good coach for a change, the Dragons lost their supercoach and his shadow aka Darius. I'm very very very confident we're going to pump them.

Souths 42-6

I've heard from plenty of people that Carly Simons 'You're so vain' is about me. I took that as a compliment. You calling me a dreamer is not a compliment.

I'll be proven right by my team in a few days time.
You mean like when you made this prediction?

If they aren't successful of course they'll blame Inglis.

As for souths, with the players we have, anything short of the top 8 will be a spectacular failure. IMO we have to get top 4 to be satisfied. 5-8 would barely be par. As for excuses, no excuses. If we don't make the 8 I don't know what anybody could possibly say to excuse it...maybe I'll think of something in 10 months.

That was a joke btw, we are certainly not going to miss the finals. That is all

How do you come back from that one, Bunniesman?
I come back with my typical swagger. We got this.

We beat the Dragons late last year and we were half the team we are now.

We.

Got.

This.

A big convincing win to kickoff the 'Maguire Era' at Souths. An era that will bring many more premierships.

Here's to a good game, and no injuries to either side.

Also hope the weather stays good like it is outside at the moment.

I'll have to...agree with that. I'd rather an injury free loss than a win with even a single serious injury.

Also I wish this game was played in the arvo rather than at night. We'd have more parents bringing kids along.

So will none of these losses (36-28 to Warrington, 22-14 to Warriors) count as the start of the Maguire Era?

What if you don't win under him until Round 10? Does the Maguire era start then?

On a Saturday afternoon? With so many kids either playing cricket or doing soccer & RL rego for the new season?

1. Those early trials were little more than hit and giggle and giving kids a go. The final trial is the first time anything close to a 1st choice 17 is used. We'll win tonight. Then in a couple weeks we'll pump Little Brother to begin our journey to our first top 4 finish since before I was born.

2. You'd still have more kids than a 7.30pm kick off. Not many parents want to come home with a car full of young ones at 11pm.

1. You have never seen your team in a finals game, ever. At least say first top 8 finish to make you look less deluded.

2. Never knew an 80 minute game including half time and stoppages actually lasts 3 and a half hours. I've been to equally late games with plenty of kids, but it's clear you don't go to games.
