Sharks will get this one I think. They're a good side and brissy have showed that they can clock off at times this season

Tough one.

On paper, Cronulla should be too strong even without Carney & Gallen but the Broncos haven't performed too terribly without their Origin stars and they have a history of beating the Sharks understrength at Suncorp (05-07).

Won't make for pretty watching but I'm going Broncos by 8 in an ugly contest.

At first glance this appears to be a game the Broncos should win with Carney and Gallen missing, but Smith and Robson are the ones to worry about. Gonna be tough.

Sharks have the better more experienced forward pack who consistently make huge meters, but their halves really need to produce without Carney. Think Cronulla will win by 10 points.

what's the weather like?

Terrible. We've had about 4-6 inches of rain in the last 3 days. They're predicting it to fine up by tomorrow, so we might get some sunshine before the game, but I'm predicting a pretty heavy track.

Yep. It's too cold for a day of sun to make any difference. Wet and heavy.

Still raining here in Newstead. It's been raining pretty much all night. Gonna be a real slow and heavy track.

Well f**k me if it didn't fine up today. It's about 20 degrees tonight, probably still slightly heavy underfoot, but a beautiful night for playing footy.

Really hope the Sharks win this. All the media has been about how Brisbane is going to cope without their origin players, no mention of the Sharks missing their 2 most important players in Carney and Gallen.
