I think you'll see the odds at around $1.80 for Knights to $2.50 for Dogs. They're fighting for the 8 and have knocked off the two Grand Finalists in a couple of weeks. If by some miracle we're considered favourites then I think you'll see a swing in the betting market towards Newcastle as the game gets close and more people come to their senses.
Then I and a lot of other people will be retiring early or Glen Munsie will be giving us a percentage of the TAB because that price will get smashed in under two minutes and Munsie will lose his job.
Never going to happen. Dogs $1.60 and that's still very attractive for the punters.
Ben Barba could throw the ball backwards over his head while running over the sideline, trip over, get back up, enter the field of play, catch the ball after it has rebounded of four other players, chip kick for himself, hitting a player in the head, have ball rebound into his arms, beat four to the line, have ball stripped only to strip it back, be tackled by two players with third defender coming in to hold him up over the line, do a Harry Houdini type escape and place said ball under posts for a try ......... when he was actually off the field injured.
We are no hope.
