Beale isn't exactly showcasing his skills at the moment. For the Dragons sake, hopefully it's just a bit of rust.

EDIT: Loses it again, he's having a shocker.

The Dragons look hopeless.

Drinkwater HAS to start in Rnd 1.

I wouldn't feed Nathan Fien at this stage of his career. Especiailly after having to endure a season with a veteran halfback last year who was way past his best. They desperately need fresh blood in the no.7 jumper.

Souths score off a fairly pedestrian set. Don't understand why the Dragons were so short out towards their left, Souths were clearly targeting that area during the set.

Danish - That was my concern too. It seemed like a clear cut try so it'll be interesting to see how video refs. will rule if there is more of a grey area. However, glad that the line in the sand has been drawn and they won't be so anal retentive.

I agree. The contact was basically arms touching each other and it would have been crazy to pull it up. To me you need to bump them to cause an obstruction IMO.

Meanwhile an absolute CLEAR offside (Champion was 2m in front of Inglis when he chipped that through, and the ball travelled maybe 5m at best so he was always inside the 10) gets let go.

Looks like ref standards aren't going to improve at all this year
