Fu#k the halves off, Mullen and Reynolds in. Hayne in for Dugan, Mcmanus in for Merritt, and someone in for Woods, he was crap, too slow and lethargic and needs more quality over quantity, that's why you never notice him in Tigers games even when his numbers are huge.

I like Fifita though, he's hard to handle. A few more like him would be nice.

Pearce and Merritt = DUDS. Banned from NSW forever.

Tate's an angry bastard, I knew he wouldn't take a pasting without giving something in return so kept my eyes on him in the replays.

Tate and Lockyer at the end of the game denying it
Was a good spot, and I'm sure I saw him throw two of those uppercuts while watching the replays on my big screen. Can only just make out one in that youtube clip, but it was very clear when looking for it direct from TV.

Very rich from Tate to stand there acting like it never happened.

Pump the brakes there Swarzey. Have you recently sustained a brain injury?

1. Hayne
2. The Dugan.

Hayne is NSW fb, but The Dugan did enough to keep a spot.

Merritt was diabolical. Just woefully inept. I knew we were in the shit when I heard him talking about his Pilates.

Dugan was responsible for as many tries as Merritt. The only distinction between the two in that regard is that Merritt let Queensland score through poor judgement/intelligence, where as Dugan allowed Queensland to score because he's a soft merkin.

Twice Dugan was owned on the try line in a front-on tackle situation.

Yeah, he was instructed to shut down Inglis....but of course that was going to fail because the merkin can't defend if his life depended on it.

highlight was hearing Inglis say about Merritt "yeah he had a tough night but hopefully they give him another chance in game 3"

ha.

People that refer to 'end yourself' are lowest common denominator types, best to not argue with those that don't have the capacity to behave like an active member of society.
But yeah, most decent people don't stoop to such levels, you aren't old fashioned, trust me;-)

Yeah I guess I shouldn't be expecting too many decent types on an internet forum straight after an origin game when you can hide behind your computer screen insulting others to try and feel better about yourself all because of a game of Rugby League :D

Maybe I'm a little harsh on Dugan. Still, I think McManus does deserve a start. He's been consistent all year and unlike Dugan hasn't had any f**k ups. I was always against him being picked due to his off field garbage so I am a little bias when it comes to that opinion that he did enough.

The instructions were come in and stop Inglis, not come in on Inglis too late to tackle him and gift Boyd tries.
Massive difference.

My question is, if that was the plan, why weren't players covering behind Merritt?

That's just Loz sticking up for one of his players who had a shocker. No coach would ever instruct one of their players to use such tactics and you know it.

Not that it means much to the Merritt haters but Daley confirmed in the press conference that he was instructed to come in to shut down Inglis which is what it seemed like cause it was getting bad

That's Merritt's style of defence in the NRL as well - rushing up & in on the angle. Sometimes it works, but when it doesn't people will really bag you.

When he ran the ball he looked timid & passed it a few times rather than taking the tackle. Game 3 will be Hayne on the wing & Dugan at fullback. ( Hayne has played well there in previous Origin games )

The cover defense failed it seems. Look not defending Merritt, it looked bad I'm only relaying what Daley said which was (In his words) 'it wasn't Merritt's fault'

So the winger should rush in and fail to stop the player with the ball AND fail to stop the pass/offload and then hope the cover defense is able to get to the winger to prevent the try?? Hmm, that'll work. STAY ON YOUR f**kING WING - WINGER. Sure there will be the occassion you'll HAVE to come in but there is absolutely no reason to do it every single f**king time, especially when you should be staying out because the inside is well and truly covered.

NSW need to beg and plead with Jamie Lyon to come back for just one game. Just one. See you later Josh Morris.

Merritt was bad but Morris was equally stinky. Aaron Woods may well of not played too. Luke Lewis was good. Jennings and B Morris didn't see the ball.

The halves stunk but they had no opportunities. Bring Michael Gordon onto the wing if he's fit and they desperately need Hayne at fullback. Dugan has zero ball playing skills and gets belted.

I've never seen Merritt defend like that at the Rabbitohs at all actually.

Dugan was found wanting time and again with his positioning. Got bumped off easily three times on the goal line because he arrived too late. Good in attack but a fullback needs to do better in defence.
