Bird & Gal most likely back is a huge plus for us. Getting off to a good start will be the key. Quietly confident NSW can finally win a series after 456 consecutive losses.

That's a massive blow for the Blues. I never expected him to play and thought it was too big a risk in any case.

I am so over people having this opinion of game 1 and 2.

If QLD had Slater, Scott, and Boyd out and NSW thrashed them, do you reckon everyone would just talk up how well the blues played or would they all be discussing how understrength the maroons were?

NSW had a horrible preparation for game 2, including rushing in inferior players to make up for the loss of 3 key men. Of course we were going to look underdone.

Now we have 1 of those key men back, as well as much better replacements for the other 2 (plus an uninterrupted prep for the most part). Its going to be a very, very close game
I don't think so.
All QLD has to do is match NSW in the forwards & their halves will win it for them.
JTs playmaking ability is about 20 laps ahead of mythcell.Jesus he cant even get a repeat set.
So what good is the NSW forwards getting good field position when the ball is meekly turned over on the last.No pressure ,no repeat set?

As for game 1 ,it was 13 v 12 .JT was a passenger, should not have been out there .game 2 a fit JT tore NSW apart.
A fit mythcell is still hopeless.

NSW is very capable of winning, losing gallen is harsh but not that bad...someone does need to step up and be a leader.
Thing is NSW don't have halves capable of controlling a game....so the rest of the team might be fantastic but if the halves won't capitalise it means little.

The halves dont need to capitalise on much, game 1 proved that.

It will be up to Farah and Bird to make opportunities count imo. Its a pity Hayne wont be there to help them

Game 1 isn't a realistic expectation of Wednesday night.
Yes NSW played fantastic but it was clearly obvious that Qld were not at their best.
If Qld play at their best then NSW needs a capable pair of halves to create opportunities.

IMO NSW still has the better forward pack...Tamou and Fifita need to stand up and be counted.

Birdy will guts it out and Lewis will be there.

Would love to see them destroy Thaiday and start a new era..

Yeah I think NSW have it in the forwards and could dominate on the back of the home crowd, but don't know if they can ultimately match it with QLD's weapons.

QLD 14-10.
