If Souths offered Newcastle Inglis, Burgess, McQueen and Teo for the players you had out, theyd have there bags packed before Rusty put the phone down.

Theyd probably even throw in Rochow and Naiqama out of sheer guilt for robbing the Bunnies cold.

I think you're missing the point. Sure Inglis might be better than Boyd, but that doesn't change the fact that Boyd is extremely important to the Knights. I know everyone thinks that Gidley is shit and Bedsy is past it, but they are crucial players for us. Take the fullback and hooker out of the Storms side and you see my point. Yes Souths had players out, but just because some of them are more talented than who the Knights had out doesn't mean the Knights weren't suffering with their losses.

And to be honest I don't think the Knights would have any use for Te'o or McQueen. Despite not having big names our pack do the job. Not being able to keep a hooker on the field is what is hurting us. Sure we'd take Inglis and Burgess but who wouldn't?

You have a grand total of zero forwards that are better than either of them.

Yeah it's pointless comparing the players each had out, both teams had players out that are usually crucial to their team. Although I did have a laugh at the 'Depleted Souths beat Knights' headlines this morning.

Anyway Souths were the better team, 7 points is probably about the right margin too. They got a big leg up from the refs in terms of penalties, but we let ourselves down with our poor discipline. Plus we didn't get a decent angle on it but the pass for our first try looked very suspect.

Apart from the penalties the most frustrating part of the game for me was McKinnon's injury. When there's two defenders up top and the attacker is effectively defenceless I think a third player coming in around the legs is completely unnecessary. I agree with Bennett's comments post game, the NRL seriously needs to have a look at this type of tackle.

I reckon all the coaches higher on the ladder than Ricky Stuart are doing better than im at the moment. Apart from that though he is definitely coach of the year.
