I can't remember such an obvious display by referees to try and influence a result. I'm happy we won, but the refs would be devastated - they worked so hard to avoid that result.

It will take a long time for the News Ltd teams to not be favoured by the refs, it is ingrained in them to look upon Melbourne & Brisbane favourably.

Interest game to watch last night.. Obviously as a raiders supporter never really confident when we are favourites. However was very happy going into half time..
Second half the team came out pretty cold and the refs did their best to almost ruin a good win.
The Hoffman injury stoppage and blatant double movement for that late try were just terrible calls ... Raiders should have won by 20+

The score being that close in the end isn't going to help the Broncos. They were never in that game and if they didn't get that huge penalty count in their favour in the second half the score could have been pretty ugly for them.

I don't think the Broncos can take many positives out of that game.

Last week the Dragons score a legit try but the video ref has 83 looks at it and says no try, this week the Broncs go close but are either short of the line or guilty of a double movement and the video ref looks at it twice and says try. That second half was possibly the worst performance by the refs I've seen in the last 10 years and there have been plenty so that's saying something.
Great win to the Raiders anyway, the future looks bright for them if they can hold on to their young fellas.
