To be honest, I'm surprised Sam stayed on the field.

Seemed like the refs. understood it was a hard decision to cop so they showed some discretion.

In the end, the better team won. Storm were more composed and despite a great effort Brisbane just didn't have the cattle to win. No shame, very proud actually.

If the blonde ref was on, thaiday would've got sent. Can't remember the dudes name.

Thaiday should've threw his hands in the air. It looked like both were grabbing each other on replay.

Should've been no try, players need to hold hands up when breaking a scrum now, so it doesn't happen again.

I love sneaky borderline illegal stuff though. Pushing boundaries and sh*t.

Thanks, Just saw it on replay.

No way was it "just part of the scrum". Everyone else had broken from the scrum and old mate was still holding on.

Congrats to the Broncs for having a dig and making a game of it.

Matt Duffie should walk through the stadium, get a cab and go into hiding rather than face Bellamy after that performance. I don't think I've ever seen a winger run out of the line so far and so often to let in so many tries in one game. Couldn't help himself in the end. Just kept doing it.

He's needs to do a Mundine and disappear for a few days and resurface overseas - Bellache won't be impressed. I always thought Duffie was a smart footballer - tonight he proved that Waqa is less of a liability in defence...who would've thought that

Duffie was horrible but i'm surprsied that everyone seems to be just blaming him. Chambers was uncharacteristically bad tonight, his defensive style was completely different to previous weeks. He wasn't going up and in, he was just standing in the defensive line. It felt like all the pressure was on Duffie to make the big play and he kept coming up with bad options. It was by no means all on him though.

True, but this wasnt just random idiocy. The prop was holding him to open the gap for a set move. I hate the whole argument that we would've won if this was ruled no try, not just because hoffman's first try was dubious, but also because there's no telling how things would've played out if the try wasn't given.

The part in bold is quite smart coming from you. It's a comment that should always be brought up but is often neglected when there are some awful referee decisions.

Also great game from Duffie. He was testing out how many errors he could make without giving up victory. It was quite tight in the end but he came out on top. Well played.

It's all good. He scored 5 tries for me tonight in RLL2 against Canberra so he is forgiven.

Duffie had already run 20m out off his line before the ball was anywhere near Chambers. Duffie is a duffer.

You should stop before you look like even more of a deranged derp.....:p

I disagree I think it was a fair try.

The Hoffman try was fair, I've seen other situations where it has taken the player even longer to ground the ball and they were still given. I think the video referee was only ruling on whether or not the ball was grounded and can't make a ruling over whether the player was held up - that is the on field referee's decision.

The Storm try that came off the scrum was a clear no try. The scrum had broken and the Storm player continued to hold on to Thaiday and then Slater ran through the gap.

But this is the Storm we're talking about, they can't be penalised. Just like how Greg Inglis can't knock on.

Protected species.

You do realise the on field ref said no try right?

Thaiday was clutching at straws IMO...scrums are always slow to break apart after the ball has gone and Thaiday was clever in trying to milk a technicality. If the refs start ruling that then we should just go and play union which is a stupid game in itself because of it's pedantic rules.

Matt Duffie needs some urgent work on defence...he is a definite weakness.

Cronk was on fire last night and would have to streets ahead on the Dally M at this stage.
