Cam Smith is the best at it but Cronk and Slater are good as well. They are probably the three best minds in the game currently playing at analysing the game they understand how to present themselves to the ref and which questions to ask. If they are 10% more presentable to the ref and are constantly in their ear, not in a rude way but as in a running conversation then they will get the rub of the green.
Shane Warne used to do it for Australia even though it is another sport, always asking the umpire things like "would that have been okay" or "that one was missing leg".
What Mick Potter was insinuating is the same thing as when people were comparing Smith to Gallen in origin last year.
