Very happy. A true 80 minute effort against one of the top 3 teams in the comp. A win at Brookvale is always extremely pleasing. (we've only done it 4 times in my lifetime)

A close loss to the Storm and a solid win against Manly is a great 2 weeks.

Credit to Souths, they were very good. They certainly are a stronger team this year and it showed with that 80min effort. The penalties finished up 11-12 but Manly got a heap late and they still managed to hold on.

To be fair, Manly were very unlucky to have the Symonds try disallowed and Souths were very fortunate to score their try down the other end (From a high kick, a deflection off the fingertips that bounced into the path of a Souths player). That was a 12 point turn around and also a huge turning point in the game.

Anyway that's football I suppose.

funny in the second half when stewart broke into the backfield and got snotted by inglis after he passed. so much for the origin battle of the fullbacks. inglis wins again

Yeah got to wonder how the Manly conditioning staff let him out there. Looked like he has taken up the George Rose cheeseburger supplement program.

Looked like he needed a walking stick at times.

Great game of footy to watch. Nothing better than watching two side rip into each other. That opening blitz lasted nearly 28 mins. Unbelievable. Can't wait till these two sides meet again.

Great win bunnies played the whistle and got the 2 points.
Only question is if the description for the Souths obstruction is the defender had to impeded from having a chance of stopping the try and was awarded, given ballin didn't even touch Asotasi how in hell was Symonds a no try?
Take nothing away from Souths they were pretty bloody good.

The joke is that Stewart is even in contention to play SOO. He is over-rated and shouldn't be near the side.

Fantastic crowd, one eyed Eagles fans gave me a good chuckle. Must be how opposition fans feel when at a Souths home game...

Matai came up off the ball and a penalty sufficient, in my opinion.
I think if they charge Matai manly will show 20+ high shots that have come up off the ball without being on report, his record may not help him though....

Matai, was just one of those that bounces off the ball, no idea with this judiciary.
