I agree that Fenson should have been called up, but f**k me, to say that Rochow is lucky to have a FG spot is an exaggeration.

You're right he was good on Saturday but he's had about 5 weeks of very shocking form leading up to that.

Saints have a history of pulling their players out. They basically started it when it was a Friday night game then players backed up the day or two after. Gasnier and cooper were 'injured' for Fridays game but Miracuously played on Saturday. So it's no surprise Merrin, frizzell and Dugan are 'injured'

It's a joke, they should have to see the rep teams doctor to be ruled out

Interesting they've picked David mead, didn't he say he wanted to play for qld? He's a better player then Kevin Gordon IMO

Unfortunately there's no real way to police whether they have a legitimate injury, because if they could they should make it a protocol that if you opt out of CC without a proper injury you're ineligible to be selected for NSW.

I'm not a huge fan of CC but players consistently pulling out like this is a slap in the face of country rugby league.

IMO if the clubs aren't prepared to let the City/country doctors see the players they should have to pay a $10k 'donation' to the country rugby league. If they arent prepared to give back to the game they can pay for it.

I absolutely think it's the clubs decision to pull them out. It's too much of a coincidence that the blokes that pull out are always from the same clubs. A fine is a good idea but I also think players would fight the clubs decision more to play if they were told no CC = no Origin.

To those whinging about players being ruled out of the rep team and miraculously recovering you do realise that the coach of the rep teams usually requires the player to be available for training at the beginning of the week to get combinations sorted, where as the players club will usually give the player until game day (or at least a day or 2 before hand) to prove his fitness.
