Yea well done sharks, have a soft spot for you guys. I don't think it's an Elliott issue. We have always been like this

Anyone who has followed the Warriors would know this has nothing to do with Matt Elliott.

From the time the Warriors entered the competition under John Monie, they have provided RL with some of the greatest thrills and attacking football you could wish to see - unbeatable on their day.

The down side is that from day one the question has always been - Which Warriors team will turn up?

They love firing up against the highly fancied teams to prove they can match it with the best in the League, but they struggle to compete against teams they are expected to beat.

Just like my own Sharkies the Warriors are a brilliant underdog, but a terrible favourite.

It has been like this since 1995.

Everyone keeps saying the Warriors must be the most frustrating team to watch - it is spot on. You don't know what team will turn up - it is seriously rocks or diamonds, nothing in between.

They have the roster every year to be a finals team but it just doesn't happen. And blaming the coach all the time is getting a bit tired.

Warriors need Sheenius.

3 years of Sheens would right their ship.

Then you have to cut him loose completely. After 3 years he goes from greatness to great rust.

Surprised that the Warriors fans are still sticking by Matt Elliott. He might not be the cause of all the problems, but he sure as hell doesn't help matters. He has never coach a side to a finals win, his teams are wildly inconsistent and pretty much have always played up or down to the quality of the opposition.

You can usually bet that his team is going to perform around the level you would expect of the opposition. With the result then being determined by whether or not the opposition play above or below the level we expected.

The Warriors throughout the trials looked like a top 4 side. In the 9's they looked unbeatable up until the finals. The talent is there. It's just being wasted at the moment. Matt Elliott is a poor fit... and as someone else mentioned I think Tim Sheens would be a great fit for a few years. I think the brand of footy he loves is well suited to the players that the Warriors have. Even his selection of backs on the bench might not hurt the Warriors with some of those backs being big enough to play in the forwards.
