Elijah Taylor, Tyrone Peachey and then Bryce Cartwright. :( This is my dream starting second row. Sadly all are gone for the season.

Of the players we will have available this weekend... Lewis Brown has been among our best most weeks since returning from injury. The only bloke who regularly looks dangerous with the ball.

Latimore is the pick of our front rowers. Nothing fancy, but does his job consistently and rarely lets the team down. Kite has been a disappointment (but better lately), McKendry has also been nowhere near his best (but improving lately also) and Plum is just a bloke who throws his body into the defence and infront of anything that moves.

Most of the pack have improved lately. But I think they're all capable of performing better then we have seen at any point in 2014 aswell.

You guys will be great next year. But that's also why I don't think you will win it this year...not quite enough in the forwards. I think you'll get exposed a bit there..

Your guys will be great next year too. It will give people like Pritchard, Eastwood and Morris a chance to lose a bit of weight. And Kasiano for that matter, imagine what he could do without a 15kg weight penalty.

The names in our pack aren't great but our pack is great. Same goes for most of the team.

Des isn't stupid. He's playing to a game plan and its working well.

If Penrith can stay in it the first hour, I expect Seg to blow it apart in the final 20.

Dogs will be much better next year. Lichha, some trimmer forwards, maybe T-rex improvibg, maybe Morris.

Not in the slightest.

Panthers have been light years ahead of your mob for consistency this year.

And don't get me started on their style of play to your mob.

We lost fair and square. I don't think you lot deserve to go any further. I think Penrith do.

That OK with you dick nose?

If Watnough and Glen Stewart played on the weekend,we would have been playing Manly.

This is the x factor that will have the Dogs pooing themselves.

They face a very-very formidable forward pack that knows how to win the tough slogfests.

It'll be a battle royale for the first half. But watch the Panthers absolutely step up a gear in the 2nd half.

Dogs won't know what hit them.

Funny Bulldogs talking about luck when they've had the most arsey 1 point wins this season.

Wining one game by a field goal might be considered luck

But winning 4 games by 1 point, with 3 of them being consecutive isn't really luck though.

It's happened that many times this season that luck has nothing to do with it

Gee a grand final appearance would be nice. We do like having the betting odds against us, and we are guaranteed to have them there for the next two games if we make it.

So we have that going for us. Dogs, like so many others, still failing to take us seriously.

I seriously think those odds of the Dogs at $1.67 is not a true reflection for the Panthers.

It's been done umpteen times before this season with teams backers more times than not, getting burned.

The TAB must be laughing all the way...

Gambling is for turkeys and gambling on the team you support, where heart holds sway over head, is doubly so. But the thing is, if you've backed the Dogs in this finals series so far you've done good.

If its played through the middle all game, I think we will be in trouble. Our first final against the Roosters, it was the only game that weekend which wasn't played almost exclusively through the middle.

Play it smart and to our strengths and anything can happen.

So how many close games do you think we've been in this year?

Round 2- 17-18 vs Storm
Round 3- 18-16 vs Dogs
Round 5- 12-6 vs Raiders
Round 7- 14-12 vs Titans
Round 8- 20-24 vs Sharks
Round 10- 26-20 vs Raiders
Round 14- 18-14 vs Dragons
Round 18- 35-34 vs Broncos
Round 20- 16-18 vs Sharks
Round 21- 22-16 vs Dogs
Round 23- 23-22 vs Cowboys
Round 25- 25-26 vs Manly
QF1- 19-18 vs Roosters

That's 13 of 25 with a margin of 6 or less, for 9 wins/4 losses, and 3 wins/2losses by a single point.

And while I'm here, the 34 scored by the Broncos was the most points we conceded all year, in a game we won.
