We're the Warriors bogey team. They don't like playing us for whatever reason. Getting them early will help too. Warriors don't seem to care until their season looks like slipping away.

Saints 24
Warriors 18

Warriors at home after a poor showing last week. I'm expecting a reality check for our lads this week. Shame we can't play the Tigs every week.

Saints to continue marching in here even without Witty.

It's not personal. It's not just Tomkins. It's the idea that any spine player can go from the Super League to here and be a star.

People cannot comprehend the gap between the two leagues. He is an average NRL fullback. He will not be able to carve up defenses here like he used to do back there.

And just wait until he gets bashed around by the week to week intensity of NRL footy. If he can't perform in the first month he'll get worse.

I was (and still am) generally skeptical that Tomkins can replicate his Super League from into the NRL. Its his defence that worries me, defusing bombs and reading attacking plays for cover defence. But he's shown in the early days he gets involved on attack and has potential as a playmaker.

There is a good chance he'll end up as 'consistently good but not a superstar', and as a Warriors fan I'll take that.

But I'm not in your camp, because with you its obvious you've just picked a guy to hate and will keep spewing out this BS about him every week.

Our defence will need to be much, much improved this week or the Warriors will put 50 on us. I know we're they bogey side but it's hard to see us winning this... away from home, Warriors were terrible last weekend and they have a rocks/diamonds reputtaion to maintain... Williams unconvincing so far. Really hope I'm wrong though, would be brilliant for the side's confidence to go 2-0 up with an injury-ravaged Sharks the week after.

You'll be fine, just pass it out wide. The Warriors edge defense can't handle complex manoeuvres like that.

Looks like a cyclone is going to hit Akld on Saturday arvo, so this game could be a bit of damp squib or a mistake-fest.

He won't replicate his ESL form, not a chance. It's unrealistic to expect him to replicate that playing in a defensively tougher league week in and week out.

Like I said after the Eels game, if he can consistently come up with two try assists a game I won't be complaining. It's more than Locke can produce.

Just need other guys to produce alongside him and we'll be fine.

Defensively we fell apart on the edges, our middle held its own for the most part.

No idea what the answer is though, our edges always look frail. Ropati might not be the greatest defender, but there's no way he could be as bad as Tuimavavae was on the weekend.

Expecting this to be a 30-24 scoreline in either direction, I don't think anyone here can be too confident in their teams defensive capabilities.

Dragons at $3.50 is dead set value imo- the Warriors are coming off losing to the Eels!

Sunday's win, while very enjoyable, was a long way from proving anything. One would hope the Eden Park curse continues, and we are their bogey team, but I'm not counting any chickens while ever we're coached by the chinless one.

By the by, what would it take for Price to pick Merrin at prop? Every other potential prop in the club to all be injured at once, including Jason Nightingale?

I'm not too familiar with the dragons.... But should it even matter if Price picks him as a prop?

He's a lock who plays in the middle anyway... He practically plays as a prop but plays longer minutes.

If you move Merrin from lock to prop you end up messing around with both your back row and front row rotations. As opposed to just brining in a prop who fits the current front row rotation.
