The reality is neither side have been relevant for a LONG, LONG time.
Us longer than them, but then our highs have been longer and more sustained, with more achievements than theirs... so it balances out

This is a game played between what will likely be two bottom 8 sides... but certain two sides who arent even remotely contenders. The reality is the jokes on all of us. LU in general must be not so secretly snickering behind all our backs

The best part is that I don't need to come up with anything.

We've been there before, guys. We know what it's like when you play well in the finals one year and then a long term injury to a key player derails your chances the following year.

You spend all off season excited about what is coming and then it's over before it even began.

Next minute you're on the bottom of the ladder.

And all you can do about it is fling shit on the internet.

:)

You must have a good memory. I'll give you credit for that.

You class one 2 point win, in week one of the finals, over a Penrith side that ended up doing nothing themselves as a successful campaign?

Figures.
Now you're just grasping for straws.

Interestingly enough, even in 2012 we finished higher on the ladder than the Knoughts have at any time in the last ten years. Campese only played 7 games.

Pretty grim picture for both teams over the last ten years, though.

Knoughts made the finals 4 times and picked up a spoon. Highest finishing position on the ladder was 7th, in 2009 and 2013.

Raiders made the finals 5 times and avoided the spoon. Highest finishing position on the ladder was 6th, in 2008 and 2012.

Congrats. The the year you managed to avoid the spoon and we got it you still finished on the same amount of points as us.

At least in this century we've managed to win a comp and 10 or so finals games. That isn't great (especially recently) but at least it beats the Raiders 1 or 2? finals wins this century.

Well if you want to talk ancient history, we've had five grand final appearances and three premierships.

The Knoughts have one grand final appearance and one premiership.

Oops, that didn't work out for you either.

Oh, and we were 2 points above you when you got the spoon, not equal.

Apologies. Good for you guys.

At least I can still remember our last premiership. Even that's fading though. I certainly hope you've got some good DVDs...or whatever was used before they were invented.

How big is the Knight's Grand Final DVD collection?

I dont mean to bring more sense to this thread, but the Raiders have won more premierships, less spoons and have a better over all Win % than the Knights.

Also it's been 13 years since the Knights last premiership, which in reality is no real great difference than 20, it's not as if you're a side on the cusp of another premiership, you basically miss the 8 every other year like we do, and havent been a genuine contender for years and years.

So what we have here is two clubs who have been irrelevant for over a decade except one side has come first more, last least and historically wins more games than the other.

Your club is not in a very strong position in this historical argument.

It only contains the grand finals that we won, however.

I don't need DVDs though, the memories are good enough alone.
