Very happy with that win, i think we let an opportunity slip last week against the Panthers but tonight makes up for that. We've won 6 of our last 8 with both losses being very close away games (3 points and 1 point).

Roll on, boys, roll on.

Cowboys pack were great tonight , making strong metres and holding Souths in the middle.
Souths need at least George B back and then Teo to compete in the finals.

I was proud of the Souths , they were clearly dominated in the middle however managed to win the second half and also had a 12 point differential of referee decisions against them.

Cowboys deserved the win , JT was the difference and gave the Souths halves a great lesson. A great lesson that is best got now and not in the finals.

The key watch now for Souths is Reynolds/sutton , I will be surprised if Reynolds is back for the Bulldogs,so we definitely need Sutton back.

Cowboys were way too good and put in what must be their best performance of the season.

I'm confident in saying that they would have beaten any other team in the comp tonight.

They incredibly didn't drop the ball once when on the attack.

Their only errors came when they dropped a bomb and failed to clean up a kick in front of their posts.

Thurston was sublime and gave Reynolds and Keary a lesson hopefully they learn from.

Souths were extremely disappointing and defensively very poor with plenty of arm grabbing.

Will be interesting to see how we respond against the Bulldogs next Thursday.

The refereeing was appalling with us scoring a try from a play that contained a 1m forward pass and the Cowboys scoring one from an obstruction which wasn't referred to the video referee.

Jared Maxwell should stick to his other job of selling coffee on weekends at junior sporting grounds.

Then again if his coffee is as inconsistent as his refereeing - you wouldn't get a good cup too often.

Apologies to the Eels fans that we couldn't repay the favour for your great effort in beating Manly.

The Keary try was the right decision and i like how you just conveniently ignore your second try which came off a mile forward pass. Good effort pretending to cop the loss on the chin though!

Cowboys played great. Outmuscled our depleted pack, we just couldn't go with them. Watching how they played reminded me of how we usually play, compressing the middle then swinging it wide.

That said, Souths let Thurston run rampant in the first half - no pressure on him at all. Or anyone for that matter, no numbers in tackles. And the penalty count didn't help. It was obvious the game was a lot more close in the second half when Thurston actually had some pressure on him.

Rabbitohs have a bad habit of underestimating Cowboys, who always turn up with a good attitude against us. I am consistently amazed how Ashton Sims becomes a world beater playing against us.

Hopefully just turns out to be a well timed loss.

Cowboys were simply too good on the night. Yes a couple of dud decisions but Picker's try was off a clear forward pass too. No JT gave us a master class in half back play and the Cowboys were simply brilliant, especially in the 1st half with their no errors.

So just to be clear, losing one match makes us 'frauds' and our season is over.

Ignoring the fact that we destroyed Manly (1st), Penrith (2nd) and Easts (4th) in games this year. Season over. OK. Good.

Cowboys were excellent. When your completion rate is at 100% after 27 sets you're probably going to win the football game...

I don't think anyone's calling the rabbits 'frauds' (not sure who you're quoting there) and i know nobody has declared your season over either. But there's no doubt the rugby league community enjoys nothing more than seeing over confident, big noting, smug, trash talking tools brought back to earth with a thud, and your club just so happens to be supported by plenty of them.
