Our forwards don't make any metres either, again its Manu and Laumape who are streets ahead of everyone

Cowboys will smash the broncos. They are only making up the numbers.

tbh so would we, but id rather have gotten smashed in the finals than to have not made them.

In 2007 we made top 4 with 29 points, in 2008 finished 8th despite getting 30 points and this year miss out with 28 points.

Considering after 7 rounds we were 2-5, onto our second coach and -75 on F/A I can handle missing out on points differential.

Where we go from here is the question because we have too many players who simply don't put in the required effort, especially on defense.

The 2010 Panthers were an accidental top 4 team (must have had a super easy draw that year), if such a thing exists. The 2014 version thoroughly deserve it and are genuine contenders. Or at least they would be if they had all their cattle on deck. Hopefully they make a good account of themselves in the finals and back it up next year.

Good on the Panthers, and I hope they go a couple of rounds into the finals and show everyone they're up to it

Congrats Panthers, I'll be getting behind you now.

Disappointing effort in general from the Warriors (apart from the likes of Manu & Laumape), as others have mentioned very little fight from the forwards and TL just not great in attack, at all.

Another year another lot of couldashouldawoulda moments denying us a spot in the finals. Oh well bring on 2015!!!

Wow, some unexpected respect here.
Our 80 min unholy alliance with Broncos has been slightly sickening

Anyhow, I'm sure we'll give the Roosters a game.
(Remember Mini's wobbly performance in the '03 GF?}

Penrith in 2010 get more criticism than they deserve they beat every top 8 side in the regular season with the exception of the Titans. It wasn't an accident Penrith had arguably the best forward pack in the competition and some good outside backs and Walsh probably had his best ever year in first grade. We deserved to be in the top 4 we beat every side in the top 8 in the regular season except Gold Coast who we only played once.

We played poorly against Canberra in the first week of the finals they were one of the only sides int he comp who could match us up the middle. Second week we picked up loads of injuries and were beaten easily by the Roosters who were in top form.

Canberra played an awesome game that night, they seemed twice as big and twice as fast as us. Yet the result came down to two conversion kicks that hit the upright. Croker's went through, and Gordon's didn't. That's all there was in it. Unfortunately, we picked up a stack of injuries on the night, and were fodder for the Roosters, who themselves had been extremely fortunate in Week 1.

Plus Matt Elliott. Adrian Purtell put into the second row when he finally admitted he wasn't good enough to crack our backline.

Jennings injured in the opening few minutes of the game against Roosters, meant our already depleted side was down a gun centre. Replacing him with Purtell and having Elliott think he was a genius for moving him to the second row and having him available to move back to the centres.

It's pretty funny that some people still think we score most of our tries off kicks based on that season. Considering we don't have one player from that team, different coach and now probably go to the air less than the vast majority of sides on the last. Just shows people don't watch before they judge. I assume its the same with guys like IBM and broncos2010. When actually forced to watch us last night they probably realized why we are where we are.

We were never going to win this. Penrith have looked a far stronger team all year imo.

Oh well, congrats Penrith. Good luck for the finals. Waste some fools.

Yes we're a totally different team from 2010 and we have a half that's been there and done it before this year in J.Soward. Prefer him over Walsh anyday.

Soward, Wallace, John, Peachey, Cartwright and Smith all ahead of Walsh for me. I wish Blake Austin and Wade Graham were given the same chances he got.
