what more do you want him to do? he is surrounded by mediocrity

I'm assuming you're not referring to the pack most clubs would kill to have on the books. The backs are possibly a little short on class. Wouldn't label Tate and Linnett as mediocre.

JT has been amazing in the first two games, brilliant in defence and great in attack.

Yes he wasn't great last night but this LU myth that he doesn't play well in club games is just that.

The question on him is inconsistency in getting the job done at club level. He's got Dingo Tahbro, Scott, Tate, Linnett, Taumalolo, Winterstein and Tariq Sims.... They should regularly destroy teams. He's a great rep player but for me Joey is many classes above at club level. He regularly owned teams.

Joey had some guns in his club teams though, certainly talent above Linnet, Winterstien. Sims and Taumalolo could be good but are not anywhere near that yet.

I take your point however.

Just imagine what John's could have done off the back of the Cowboy's pack.

The only 2 worth feeding in that pack over the last few weeks has been Tariq and Bolton. The rest have been pretty shitful.

I reckon matt scott is playing injured again by the looks of him.

Thurston has always lacked that special something to make him the legit MVP week in and week out over 24 games + 3/4 finals games. Over the last 5 years he's been arguably the best player in the world in rep footy. And of course he has his share of brilliant club games but it just feels like on a day to day basis he just doesn't want to win as badly as he does when he's wearing the Queensland and Aussie jerseys and surrounded by a team that is far better than his opposition.

That's pretty much my opinion on this issue right there.

The Knights would crush teams every second week on the back of Joey's genius. People seem to have forgotten this.

Where as JT is flat out leading his team to enough wins to make the finals every year.

JT is a great player but not in the same ballpark as the best I've ever seen.

Pretty poor to belittle former Knights players like that.

Buderus, Simpson, Gidley, O'Davis, Kennedy are some of the best players of their generation.

Spose that doesn't suit the agenda though.
