Just realised Matulino didn't come back on after the accidental elbow. Didn't seem that bad at the time. Commentators mentioned his name a few times but they're nearly always getting him confused with Mateo. Either that or the stats guys f**ked up.

wintersteins try "attempt" sums it up pretty well, miraculous efforts in the corner seem to be easier to score then when the lines there beckoning. Just constantly the wrong options taken and when everything else hasn't managed to stop them from scoring he tackles himself to make up for it. It's like they panic when they find themselves in space or close from the line

Thought it was a terrible call at the time but I think it's a bit of an illusion his hand actually connects, the motion of the ball is consistent with only hitting the knee. Would like to see the front-on replay of that quality. The front-on replay was terrible quality on the TV.
