IMO the touch judge got it wrong. Foot was still in the air when he let it go.

However, once he puts up his flag that's it. Cant go to the video ref.

Wasn't aware of that, can you point me to the relevant guidelines?

Can't believe there wasn't at least another look with the first Whare no try. If Simmons' foot touched the*ground before he released it,*I can live with it. But Fox just went on with it as if nothing had happened.

The Docker obstruction was the right call though.

Well done Sharkies.

It was a clear obstruction. If it was a Sharks try you would be saying no try

Carney scored off a double movement. Ball carrying arm clearly hits the ground. He's flipped on his back and makes a second lunge to ground it. Gordon knocking the ball out of segyaros hands was toward panthers line into segeyaros body. Knock on.

Every video ref decision favored sharks, and the one that swung the whole game never even got sent there. Graham never had eyes for anyone but Docker and initiated contact to stop him in the line. Zero effect on the try scored.

Every 50/50 went against Panthers. Lopsided penalty count, all tries could have gone the other way and the try that should have sealed the match for penrith never even went upstairs when it looked better then a 50% chance it was a fair try.

That one decision alone if wrong costs Panthers 10-12 points. Everyone here seems to think it was worth a look and most think it was a try too. Not going video referee for that call is a joke.

That's the best shot I can get of it on Foxtel Go.

Personally I think his foot is out but other angles would have got the truth of it. Should have gone to the VR.

Was a ref(touchie) mistake, but def not cheating as one pamfers fan is suggesting

Rewinding it and going on the small replay in the bottom corner it does look like toes on the line while fingers still have contact but obviously it isn't the best angle or size so better looks wouldn't hurt.

Carney's was not a double movement.
Gordon was facing his own goal line and attacked the ball and Seg lost it - not a knock on.
You just sound like a whinger with that rant.

Yeah, I don't think the Panthers had the share of calls that game, and I'd be disappointed as a Panthers fan. I think most the 50/50 calls that went our way were correct, but I'm biased, and I think they really were close to 50/50, so could easily have gone the other way.

Neither side was that good, but I was very happy to get a win when our side continues to be horribly depleted.

Still, I'd trade you "luck" for the season so far, we have been battered by lady luck all year.

Panthers's defence was shocking and we didn't put our pedal to the floor once we hit the lead for the last time. Good game, Sharkies fans.

Carney double movement would have been ruled a double movement if it was Penrith. He made a second lunge after the ball hit the ground.

Gordon was facing his line and smashed the ball backwards into segeyaros leg which propelled it toward the sharks line. Definite knock on.

Point being panthers score a try, video ref doesnt look at it. Sharks score immediately after to win the game. We score another and are denied because wade graham makes a tackle attempt on the decoy and he was zero chance at stopping the try scorer.

Its easy to sit there calling other people whingers when your team has sll the calls going your way to win a game. But when those decisions go against your team and they were clearly the better side, why should we cop them? Refs not even sending that first Whare try upstairs swung the entire game. No one can say for certain it was no try.worth a look and it alone was odds on responsible for 10 point turnaround. If touchies got it right, fair enough. Butthe majority opinion is that they didn't or it atleast deserved a look.

Panthers aren't making the 8 this year. Gus's empire in trouble. Where are the world beating kids that were supposed to come along by now.

I don't know if it is true or not either, but if the flag is like the whistle, I guess it makes sense. Once a decision is made it can't be unmade, even if incorrect (except the new tentative "Try" and "No Try" calls by referees when going to video ref, but these are "opinions" and not decisions).

It could set a bad precedent if players had to play on after the whistle/flag, so stopping play seems right. But then the onus is on the official to be sure, especially in try scoring movements, as preventing a video referee check is a big call.

Carney's momentum had not stopped so he had every right to roll over and score.
You're clutching at straws for the Gordon strip on Seg - he knocked it down, it went backwards.

Agreed sadly.

Can dominate games and have nothing to show for it. In close games we can get smashed on the scoreboard.

50/50s dont seem to go our way. We make stupid plays. Many great individual performers, but no resl cohesion as a team. But most importantly we have a small pack on the field that isn't effective. Segs, peach, Kingy and Docker is 4 light weight forwards. In attack can be a danger, defensively we give up a lot imo.

Brown isn't any better. Need some big boys and tackle busters in the side.
