I haven't been this shattered after a loss in ages. The bastards actually gave me hope. Gidley... I just have no words. It's beyond a joke now. I can't wait to see the press conference later... should be a laugh.

Imagine if Gidley got into Origin and Mullen didn't get picked. Mullen did everything he could tonight to get us there on both sides of the ball... Derp Didley's sole memorable contribution was the most farcical tit up I've seen in god knows how many years.

f**k's sake!

Only the Knights could throw it away from there. Even after all these years and the money spent and they still can't win a tight one when victory is staring them right in the face.

How hard was it? Just keep momentum, starve Manly of the football and keep possession and you can grind out a result. Their last 11 games in a row that they have been behind on the scoreboard at halftime they have lost. They were there for the taking, after this Knights team have been crapping on about self-belief while "proudly" losing to every team with serious top 4 aspirations (because we're the Knights and we're always underdogs, top 4 aspirations are for Superleague filth and the rich Sydney clubs). Even f**king Cronulla would have held that lead.

If the NRL ladder was graded solely on heart and self belief, we'd be having a difficult time beating the 2003 Souths or 1999 Wests teams for all-time worst status...

Not sure what went through his mind but being a left foot kicker, I don't think he was comfortable with taking the shot from his position. Really, Boyd should have ran it, try to create something or at least force a repeat set.

Field Goals in 2014 just gift the opposition that extra tackle and it got Manly across tonight.

Hang on!

I know it's depressing seeing us lose games like that, but I wouldn't go that far as to say what you said. The 1991-93 Gold Coast Seagulls, 1998-99 Western Suburbs and 2002-06 Souths sides were far worse than the Knights roster. Even on those team's best day, the Knights would hammer all three of those teams. Not even The King could save the Seagulls during his time there.

Didn't stop DCE.. Thats why Mullen doesn't deserve rep jerseys. Lacks that extra ticker.

OT, for those watching The Matt Johns show atm, I saw that Fletch and Hindmarsh segment filmed in Centennial Park two Saturday's ago. They were there for a few hours filming that segment.

Hell, it was the 3rd tackle. We don't know if Boyd took it on himself to take it or Mullo was going to use up the extra tackles left, which would have ran down the clock.

Pretty harsh to put that final moment on him and say that's why he doesn't deserve rep jerseys.

That's the one thing that upsets me with Mullen. In general play he's one of the most brilliant halves in the comp, but he doesn't have the confidence to back himself to go for the winning play when it's needed. That will destroy him tonight. Poor bugger. It doesn't even anger me any more. I just feel bad for the bloke. You really need a level of cockiness to be a game breaking half and sadly he's never had it.

back from the game, tough luck to the knights, they had such a better completion rate compared to the eagles... The Eagles looked in 2nd gear for most of the match..

Again, tough loss for the knights...

Mullen definitely needed to snap one... but he wasn't in a great spot to have a crack. Darius definitely DIDN'T need to snap one... and it was a disappointing double stupid play from our 2 most important players.

DCE's was an absolutely freakish kick... and if it weren't such a massive slap in the face, I would have been happy to have watched it.
