Souths way too good. Really picked up where they left off last year. They'll obviously be right up there again this year.

In saying that Brisbane beyond horrible. Soft forwards not pushing the line, slow ball movement with no runners, halves not taking the line on.

I know it's early days but they look like a bottom 4 team. You could argue that Ben Hunt is the one rep quality player they have.

Round 1, 2014: In none of the eight games did a team destined to finish in the Bottom 8 beat a team who ultimately finished in the Top 8. Five of the eventual Top 8 won in the first round, and the other three lost to one of those five teams.

Well played Souths, starting the season like theyfinished last season. They will be hard to beat this year.

We dropped way to much ball, gave Souths way to much possession and got what we deserved for it.

We will take alot away from this game and certainly improve. Whitchurch is not up to NRL standard and should be replaced by Nikorima, Gavet will get suspended and hopefully replaced by Ofahengaue. Please please please let Vidot replace Miranta.

Souths didn't even look out of 1st gear for a lot of that game. Little errors here and there, very few set plays run, it was a training run. We'll a lot more of what they have to offer this season next week when they play us.

Brisbane on the other hand, they looked like they blew a tranny (take that as a car metaphor or the other way, either works) in the first 15 minutes and were solid rubbish all night. Round 1 and all that but didn't see anything tonight to think they might impress this season. Souths comfortably accounted for us in round 1 in both '13 and '14, but we showed some promise both games.

Whilst it is only round 1, the Bennett Ball game plan will strangle the life out of the Broncs. It only works if you have 13 representative players in your starting line up.

At least Griffin had variety and offloads in attack.

Whilst a lot has been said about the new buys already, even Hunt, Parker and Hodges were very quiet.
