Look over 80 mins I think the dragons were the better side and the win meant nothing so there's no use arguing over it. As shit as we've been this year we have copped a heap of these calls that you see go the other way 99/100 and it's just shit. They are in match defining situations too. This one, the brooks no try v Canberra and the Knights winning try the other week which Archer admitted was a mistake. It fcking gets to you.

You will see markers like that in every field goal sitauation in the finals and I guarentee not one will be penalized.

Some of you need to learn the rules of the game. The two markers have to stand one behind the other, directly in front of the player playing the ball. That was clearly not the case. Ergo, penalty. The ref called it before Robbie charged the ball down too.

100% agree.
Now lets see it applied consistently in the 1st minute, right through to the 80th.

So you're complaining about a 100% correct call? Is that correct?

I dont mean to come across as complaining about an obviously correct call,
Its the inconsistency in how and when our rules are policed that fustrates me.

Realistically the refs could blow a penalty every single tackle if they so chose to.
Checcin has form for finding penalties in front of the posts in golden point games.

The league has probably instructed the refs to rule strictly by the law.

All sides in the play-offs should take note.

Where did I say it wasn't the correct call?

I'm saying it's frustrating that we lose a game on a rule that never gets policed. In all the games you've watched how many times have you seen a team penalized for offside attempting to charge down a field goal? If that's going to be a penalty every time from now than fair enough, but do you think that's going to be the case?

Going off the rule book a trip is auto matic send off, if Maloney got sent off last night do you think everyone would have said 'Oh well that's the rule, never mind it never gets called'

Anyways like I said i feel the dragons were the better team. Good luck next week.

See how in this Titans vs. Cowboys game they just reversed a decision... yet given the opportunity in this game they just stayed with the blatantly incorrect ruling?

Yeah.

Yeah.

I would understand your angst....If it weren't for the fact you weren't playing for a single thing.

How could they possibly NOT penalise Farah after calling him out and then he charges down the shot at field goal that would have won Saints the game? The refs hands were tied.

Yeah.

Very true. Galloways knock on from Creaghs pass should have been called back. And Dragons get another set of 6.

I'm glad the dragons won and made the finals
.....however I had to say for both the Knights game and dragons game, the refs made it hard to watch with the number of penalties
That can get tiring fast.

You're having a sook because your team lost. I get that. And players get pinged for not marking square all the time. The ref clearly called Robbie out for being offside, and he went ahead with the chargedown anyway. Refs always blow a penalty if a player ignores the call to stay out of it.

Always hey?

Im a genius so don't know how to post it but on the Tigers forum someone's posted a pic of the wide shoot from the play the ball before Richards third shot at field goal. You can clearly see 5 dragons players 2/3ms in front of the ref ready to charge down/put pressure on the kicker. This is what I'm saying, it's frustrating that they picked this one of 6 shots taken to pull up, as I have no doubt players were off side on each of the previous ones.

But hey I suppose if saints lose next week due to a similar call every dragons fan will cop it sweet.

I was at game last night. Was there any chat as to why Moses wasn't pulled off in the last 15-20 min after tottering to the sideline, jelly legged and quite clearly concussed yet stayed on the field and didn't even look like he got checked?

The are always players offside throughout the game that don't get penalised, but when they make contact with the ball it's like a professional foul, except they don't get sinbined for it !
It's a bad way to lose, but it was the right call !
Other calls did go our way during the game that normally don't go in our favour.
You do realise if the Mead try the week before was correctly called as a no try, we would have finished in 7th and above the defending premiers ! With at least 5 replays and they still got that wrong !
