Hot weather predicted for this one I think. Panthers will get up in the Raiders ball control is poor. Raiders if they play ok should win.

Who knows. The raiders disappoint every time we expect something good from them. Would expect them to win here but wouldnt surprise if they stink it up and make Wallace look like Thurston. Raiders by 4.

We may not have the points in us to win with an over the hill halfback and no Moylan. I just hope the Raiders are again underachieving at home and start slow and we might sneak a win. At least our team will be stronger on paper than when we played them there in Round 25 last year.

We actually look good this year. No real weaknesses in our best 17 which has not been the case for over a decade.

My big question: has Sticky fixed our left edge defence? The left side was nothing more than a speed bump last year.

If he's fixed it, I think we win by 14+.

Haha, the left edge?
Please. Both edges were a f**king fiasco last year, and mostly because of coaching tactics

I'm expecting us to come out hot this game, raiders by 13+

This will be the second time in three years I have to go to a wedding on our opening game. I need more considerate friends.

Anyway, im still in the delusional stage of the year, so raiders by 34.

Dark horse is a contender that isn't considered one.

A dark horse is just a prediction whether or not either side is remains to be seen but I can understand both of these sides potentially being a dark horse.

Both clubs come into this season in a situation where they are finding themselves.

It'll take a few weeks, unlike the Broncos and Cows of the world, for both Penrith and Canberra to get themselves sorted.

So I guess in most aspects, you naturally have to go with the TAB's fave in Canberra.

But I live in hope that the star studded squad we have will have the edge in getting an away win.

But won't be concerned if a loss is what we have to take on the chin as long as is not a pasting.

Either Panthers by 8 or Raiders by 14.

Both these sides are "dark horses". Which is just another way of saying that no-one except their own supporters expects them to have a good season.

Lots of people have Canberra in their 8, I know I do. Wouldn't call penrith a dark horse, if they do have a great season like in 2013 it would be more a shock than a dark horse story.
