No imagination or players in motion for New Zealand. Classic Stephen Kearney coaching a team to play boring spoil 5 hit up football. Forwards run in pairs ffs.

To be fair they have multiple international players out but at least select a utility to add spark off the bench.

They won't score points 2H if they keep playing like this.

That's what Nikorima was there for until Hiku and SKD both pulled out to force Harris to centre. Nikroima to five eight and K Bromwich to hooker.

No argument on Kearney ball though. Despite our recent success I don't think much of him as a coach.

f**ken hell... How in the f**k is Kenny Bromwich a better option at hooker than Isaac Luke??

I'd take a woefully out of form hooker than a guy who's a bench backrower at his club...

100% Isaac Luke even out of form has been there and done that and will atleast ask questions in the ruck with service.

Lewis Brown tries hard in defence but his service has been slow

I know they have injuries but just off the top of my head surely something like:

1. DWZ
2. Nightingale
3. Simona
4. Kata
5. Rapana

Would at least create a few opportunities instead of the plodders out there tonight

Swap Kahu for Kata and it would be an interesting backline. Not Kearney enough for NZ though.

I think Kearney just wanted to make a statement with Luke, whatever the hell it was. There's no logical reason for leaving Luke out, none whatsoever.

Even injured the kiwis should be playing better, Shaun Johnson creates something out of nothing but there's just no direction out there.
Aus has stunted attack even though Inglis has woken up.

New Zealand are trying hard but arent getting the rub of the green in regards to the ruck and wrestle. Some of the nit-picking penalties they have given away to Australia have been imo harsh.

Just let the game flow for atleast 20 minutes and keep a good 10ms. No one wants to watch the ref blow his whistle.

Having Foran, RTS, Luke, Manu and SKD out has limited their ability to get a roll on, especially the last four who are very adept at getting the sets starting on the front foot which allows NZ to bring in their 2nd phase/offloading play which i believe would cause major problems.

4. Whare
5. Vatuvei
6. Foran
7. Lolohea
8. Matulino

11. Glenn
12. Taukeiaho
13. Mannering

14. Leuluai
15. Kasiano

I think that team goes pretty close to beating tonights NZ team. Lol @ that entire backline being injured/unavailable. How bad can our luck be?

I honestly think it all comes down to missing Luke, Foran and RTS...

3/4's of the spine missing has pretty much taken all the creativity out of the Kiwis.

Normally if your in a position like this your remaining spine member(Johnson) will have to take over the entire game for the Kiwis... But instead he's playing like he has Foran, Luke and RTS around him... He's waiting for the play to come his way....

If the Australian spine was...

1. Boyd
6. Bird
7. Thurston
9. Gallen

They would suffer... But Thurston would take take over 90% of the plays... Johnson just doesn't do that...
