This is a forum that has lauded Fat Pete for "delivering 20 teams" to the NRL.

When all that has happened is one extra team in Brisbane, 30 years later then it originally should have been.

The Jets only run a NSW Cup team, That would be a feeder club arrangement.

Still would need to get some sort of junior development system in place, For the Feeder club to run that takes money
Sounds like another reason for jets to be involved, they may have intentions to bring through all age groups as part of a proper nrl link up with a perth club.

Unfortunate opinion/perspective. Hopefully this writer is incorrect but I always felt that corporates were the biggest hurdle.

Although hopefully (at worst) it just means that they are a consideration further down the track

Anyone cut and paste full story please?

Yeah that's right. I'm this agreement Perth would be financing that.

I’m a rugba laeague fan, when it comes to expansion I expect little and am rarely dissapointed. even more so about the game maki g shthouse decisions, our history is littered with them. i wouldnt be surprised at all of club 18 is yet another heartland club or some sht hybrid club.

Why would clubs like Ipswich & Brisbane easts with own clubs & history need new town & bears?!
Because either area is not a city as big as Perth , with the same business opportunities.
Remember St George has hellishly long history and they ended up merging with Illawarra.Let alone Wests/Tigers.
BTW I'm only putting its out as a suggestion.

WTF, your mother didn`t know she was pregnant ??? What did they think that big bump in her stomach was...a pot gut.
Unannounced to the world ut my put into didn't I? .She knew. I gave her a difficult time before, during and well after my birth right through my youth.
4.5kgs at birth, they had to bring in a stork lift.

Yeah, redcliffe 30k members & counting. Meanwhile, dockers corporates show Perth will struggle in an afl city

Because they probably see the potential of being linked to a club with opportunities for sponsorship with some of Australia’s biggest mining companies and which will be fully backed by the State Government. They may just be thinking outside the Sydney metropolitan square?.
If the Newtown bid is real and not a furphy to get the Bears off of their backsides it would only be because Cronulla are leaning towards having their own NSW Cup side as the Roosters and the Rabbitohs have done in recent years.
Newtown also don’t have any NRL junior pathways with no teams featured in Harold Matthews, S.G. Ball, Jersey Flegg (mens) or Tarsha Gale and Harvey Norman (women’s).

Marriage with bears is like bringing in a mail order Russian model bride. might be great for a year or two but eventually she’s getting her green card and 1/2 your assets and buggering off.
You are entitled to your opinion, I honestly don’t think the Bears would repeat what Manly did to the Bears via the Northern Eagles and I’m sure the NRL would have contract clauses in place.
Firstly the WA Government and the Bears need to reach an agreement before any of these actions can take place.

You need the Perth locals engaged to be successful. I'll need to be convinced to get behind it.
There is nothing better than seeing local players running around.
The Bears currently have South Perth Lions frontrower Kurt De Luis playing in their NSW Cup team.
Surely you would go out and sign WA products like Royce Hunt and Waqa Blake.

Sure there’s a poster who equates any person who promotes expansion outside of NSW and QLD as a Super Leaguer and a poster who thinks everything that V’Landys does is negative .

As I said, false dichotomies.

Ppl who think of expansion as locations rather than bids are morons
