It’s ok now Perth are getting a team you can be positive about rugby league in Australia since you are now benefitting
Enjoy
ah the old deflection again. Tell us again how club 18 should benefit some long lost sydney club rather than a new expansion city.

Ppl who think of expansion as locations rather than bids are morons

There are no bids because they haven’t be called.

You might call it semantics but you (or anybody) can’t bid for something that isn’t for sale. You might say I have the intention to bid or I am going to bid but that is all that is happening

Sounds like another reason for jets to be involved, they may have intentions to bring through all age groups as part of a proper nrl link up with a perth club.

the report says they still will host a game in Sydney. So same as what the Bears want

I literally switched from the bears to it being supported by brisbane easts

unlike you when I lost my club I’ve spent the past 30 years talking up the nrl and waiting for it to recover and be number one again

now the nrl is in a position where I reclaim it’s mantle as the number one sport you are jumping squarely on the bandwagon

go rugby league

That’s not a very nice thing to call the arlc lol. That’s literally how club 17 was decided. Pick the location then see what bids come in.
That’s now what pippen is saying stop being dense

he’s saying you can’t just pick a location and give them an nrl spot that they need to have a strong bid that’s the most important bit

And if you’re gonna relocate a Sydney team to Perth, why not one of the functioning but failing ones?
Necroing an old first grade team to a new frontier city/market makes as much sense as letting them live and play in their new city but oh let’s play 1-2 at Henson or NSO in an overly saturated Sydney market.

Which is why in the new Jets report it says Perth contacted them, It makes a stronger bid

because the current clubs are all viable, I think it is the lesser of 2 evils.

Lets give x old club a game or 2, Then can provide the structure for the other 40 players a club needs to survive.

If Perth get a team no matter the links to Bears or Jets.

The city will get behind it.

In a way you are benefiting the club as you already have a fan base outside of Perth with historical links.

Then you tap into the locals to get behind there team.

10 home games at HBF Park, 1 big prime time game at optus stadium and 1 home game in Sydney.

That’s hilarious it was Perth chasing them

imo they offer very little other than they make less demands than norths

Nor is location irrelevant to a bid. It is actually a key aspect of a bid: demographics, population and growth rate, income per capita et al would factor in the business case and the ability of a club to grow.

The argument that somehow a bid is seperate to the location is rather perverse.

For the good of the game, yes.
But I said a ‘failing’ team. Ergo, if one isn’t failing, then it won’t get relocated. And back in the 2000s, pre Crowe and failing and floundering, I did suggest the Rabbitohs could be the 2nd Brisbane team. But things turned around. So lucky us.
Plus I like both the Bears and Jets. From a nostalgic point and from a point I actually go watch both play NSW Cup or watch on Fox. However, Sydney as a marketplace does not need more NRL games played here. Adelaide and Perth do.

I don't think getting a failed club would work. You look at Wests, they can't get it right in Sydney. How would they go in Perth?

South’s were failing when they came back in and George Piggins was running them

People have short memories lmao

Bears want ownership. It's smart of the Perth bid to look at a club that doesn't want that.

Have to be Jets
Keep the colours
1 game in Sydney

Compares almost identical to the Bears, This came from the Perth side. So it can't be accused of Sydney media or PVL pushing it
