So using that logic the nrl should be adding clubs that tv value the most since they provide the lions share of revenue

I don’t really agree with that

we could ignore Perth and Adelaide and still have bigger tv deals than afl

it’s nonsense to think two smallish clubs from those states will all of a sudden bridge the gap

we could add two more clubs from Brisbane, png and nz2 and we would be light years ahead of afl

Perth or Adelaide will never add to the comp like the dolphins (or more brisbane teams) will
Yeh that’s why we’ve been beating them in tv deals for the last 20 years and the next one as well, oh hang on!

If you Stick a team in Perth all the noise after that team comes in will be when is a team in Adelaide coming to make it a true national competition. Which would be good for the competition.

You add another Brisbane team or NZ team you won't here anything from the West about a team again.

There’s only so many times you can keep ignoring us before we’ll just give it up. That’d open up perth nicely for a third afl team eventually.
Nrl needs to grow some balls and expand the game into new markets, and I’m not talking Vegas lol

We never used to outrate them like we do now

af ratings have collapsed whilst nrl have increased markedly

number one rugby league then daylight

it’s a joke the nrl with 17 teams will beat the 18 afl teams by 30 million viewers plus

afl maybe placed all the expansion teams in the Simpson desert for their ability to grow ratings

A bit hypocritical of you hey?
Won't talk about a Bears bid, but happy to take a manly relocation, i really dont see the difference
Trolling a fair bit Mr.Adelaide....
There's a big difference between the two.

One is relocating a club that's currently in the NRL, the other is reviving a club from the 2nd tier.

Moving an existing NRL team doesn't put any further strain on coaching & playing depth, which could be a consideration as we close-in on 20 teams.

Perth is growing & only argument for a team is it's population. It's case will be stronger if NRL waits

We average overall 120k more a game than they do

like plus 15 percent more viewers per game

they only do better on tv because it’s not one game they are using it’s all of them summed up in each market with foxtel getting the dregs

NRL has always had larger tv audiences, especially on Fox.

Not overall it hasn’t no

now we have the kayo figures we know nrl has the much higher average

afl using that fudge to count multiple games in the fta isn’t fooling people anymore

He said something vague & didn't mention TV. Stop presenting ur opinion as fact
He literally said to match AFL revenue we need to grow the comp to 20 clubs with a more national footprint. Politis knows.

"To get more revenue from the media networks we've got to give them more product, it's pretty simple."
"We've got to grow, if we're going to be a national sport we've got to be in every state."
“I think everybody’s a bit shocked, but if we’re going to be a national sport and want to grow our revenue, we have to grow our sport and be in every state.”

Lol, more content to get more money from networks. National stuff has nothing to do with broadcast deals.
