Roosters are a club that others should aspire to be.
A club that has no juniors and pilfers from other areas lol.
A club that every player in Sydney would go to if given an offer. A club that has some of the highest crowds in the competition. A club that has some of the most successful businesspeople in the country on their side. A club that realised that their small junior base was a weakness and looked for ways to get around it. A club with a secure future both on and off the field.

What happened with the Wests Panthers playing in the QLD Cup ?.
Not strong enough ?, finances ?, a combination of both ?.

Their last season in the Queensland Cup was 2003. Financial difficulties caught up with them, Cairns Cyclones and Logan Scorpions in the early 2000s. There's a Western Brisbane Panthers playing in the BRL alongside Fortitude Valley Diehards.

Let Brisbane Tigers retain their name I reckon.

Don't understand why we need to be strict on mascots, just create a third kit for clashes.

The NRL would die in a generation if every club attempted to operate like the Roosters.

Their success is totally reliant on the good fortune of being in an area with lots of wealthy supporters whom are willing to chip in to attract the best players available to see the club succeed. They're not the only only club that abuses the third party system, but it's basically made the salary cap a joke, not all clubs have access to such wealthy and corporate backers, and pretty much all genuine junior development would cease if the other clubs tried to follow suit.

Penrith's success is built off the back of the good fortune to have one of the world's biggest RL nurseries. Good luck to Panthers and Roosters, both have leveraged their strengths well. You play the hand you are dealt

And the fact they are in a cheap housing region where many PI families have moved to. Panthers have finally tapped into the massive advantage they have. Only taken them 50 years.
