You don't understand what diminishing returns means, and trying to explain it to you would be a waste of time...
Queensland's Education system; turning the Sunshine State into the Special Needs State one student at a time.
A typical Dane response whenever his assertions are scrutinised.
Can the diminishing returns principle be applied to rugby league?
If you're going to say affirmative action cannot apply to sport -- ever heard of the quota system in South Africa that forces national sporting teams to reserve a certain number of spots for players who aren't white? -- then you cannot use the diminishing returns principle.
What are you even trying to argue?
That adding more teams in Brisbane will cannibalise support for the existing ones?
The Dolphins' introduction coincided with a massive increase in active rugby league fans across Brisbane. The Broncos have never had more members and their attendances have improved significantly -- they're nearing record breaking levels.
Can the principle apply to two or three sports teams that aren't owned by the same company?
The profit made by the Broncos doesn't flow back to the NRL and Dolphins. The profit made from the Dolphins doesn't flow back to the NRL and Dolphins. Every club gets an annual grant and has to make money from football operations. So far the Broncos and Dolphins are making more from football operations than every other rugby league club on the planet. In the Broncos' case, they're making more money with the Dolphins than they did previously.
The onus on you is to prove the introduction of the Tigers will lead to the Broncos and Dolphins experiencing a decline in active support. So far you've failed to do this. Telling people they are dumb and saying you couldn't be bothered proving your point is the last resort of a snake oil salesman who has been exposed.
