I don’t think it would have any damage. It would only enhance the product with true NSW v Qld fixtures instead of the farcical version we get today. The standard would be anrguably identical.

If someone is proud enough to represent another country, that’s great, give them the opportunity to do that more often on a bigger stage.

I don’t want to see NSW and Qld made up of mercenaries. I don’t care about All Stars matches. I want the best Australians from NSW and Qld playing.

So you are satisfied with some non-Australian representatives being ineligible for SOO and others being eligible simply based on what country they were born in? Don’t play the high and mighty card with me.

If Stephen Crichton wants to represent Samoa, then I encourage that, but I want to see the sport encourage high standard representative opportunities.

This means giving the Samoans and the rest of the Pacific Islanders a regular stage that is big enough to represent their individual countries alongside SOO which would be available for players declaring themselves up for Kangaroos selection.

Yeah, this is not in question everyone wants a good representation for internationals and origin, again i asked what makes stephen Crichton, hamiso fiddow, or jerome Luai not eligible for NSW or QLD, just coz they opt to represent samoa, are they mercs in your eyes?? A few Queensland clubs have got towelled this year as well. Dolphins had 50 put on them and Cowboys had 66 put on them.

Either way, it doesn’t look good for putting another club in for a while.

You’d have to look at previous seasons to compare avg winning margin and have a couple of seasons of data to see if adding the 17th club has changed things.

again though the real problem is nrl not having any long term strategy or investment in new talent, in fact we’ve slashed grassroots funding over last few years so where we think greater depth of player talent is going to come from only pistol Pete could say. Oh yes American college football, forgot about that one lol
