So Perth has more. What resources does Perth get or need from the bears?
Incorrect Perth doesn't have more, WA has more that's a full state though, perth not there yet, you are comparing park footy players from a whole state against the reserve grand finalists who are spread out in amongst 1 million population of a section in northern Sydney, I agree them coming together is a great idea, but you cannot state they have more, and exactly what more? what participants? Or actual talent

The Bears were pretty good at doing that themselves when they were in the NSWRL/ARL/NRL. Hopefully any reincarnation of them don’t continue their history of continually finding ways to lose.

Again anyone reminded by what happened with the northern eagles, the Manly f**kwitz decided to f**k over their merger

Salt? It’s reality. They had a losing culture and it would be a real shame to saddle any new club with it for the sake of making a few of their old fans happy.

After their two premierships in the early 1920s, they only ever played in one grand final, which they lost. After Manly entered the comp they never played in a grand final again. They just kept finding ways to lose and bomb out, even when they had a good team and should have been contending for the premiership.

They were perennial also-rans. Their biggest claim to fame is that they were a foundation team and, depending on your personal preferences, had a good colour scheme.

Billy Moore. Who was born in NSW. Went to school in NSW. Lived in NSW. But some how became a Queenslander 🤔
Because he played his first senior football in Qld, like Peter Sterling played for NSW but was born in Qld.

A lot of Nimby going on with the bears. It seems everyone wants them back at long as it's not part of their club.

More jnrs, less investment in turning that number into first graders.
800 jnrs in Bears catchment around 2500 in Perth, 3000 in WA.
Imagine if we had a team for those kids to aspire to and investment to get them there!
What Bears does do though is give us a place where talented youngsters from across NSw can play in top Jnr comps without leaving home

I see no need for a Perth Bears NSw cup team based in Sydney, it should be based in Perth.
Then a quality U16's comp in perth with a Perth Bears in Sg Ball and Flegg for WA jnr development, and a NS Bears in HM, SG Ball and Flegg in Sydney. Thatd be a decent development set up imo.
