It was generally a good game for Manly. As a rivalry, it was historically somewhat one sided.
Historically one sided, yes Manly had more wins, during my time of watching in the 80’s and 90’s it was always fairly even between the two clubs, no matter where either of them were placed on the premiership ladder.

If the WA govt is happy with either bid team

There is no way the standalone bid gets in when TV, ARLC and other stake holders are asked.

Given last 2 expansions we have had.

The new 'plastic' team on GC was a fail

As opposed to bringing an existing club to the top grade as we have seen with Dolphins

Its the Perth bid they need to be convincing not Vlandys. theres no way he will parachute a Sydney club into Perth over a local perth option. It'd be one sure fire way of it being a disaster.
Hes appeasing sydney media. When push comes to shove if Cumins group tick the boxes and Bears dont offer them what they want to hear who do you think is getting in?

There's only 2 ways Bears are getting back in in Perth.
1. The Perth bid has no option but to partner due to NRL insistence or not being able to meet NRL's criteria
or 2. The Bears offer the Perth bid something so good that they are willing to change direction from a preferred 100% Perth club.
Cumins seems pretty confident he can achieve point 1.
Cumins hasn't spoken to anyone

The ARLC via VLandys has already said that perth isn't dependent on the bears. Has the broadcasters said they want the bears? It was claimed here they wanted Brisbane . Who's the other stake holders?

If the Perth bid comes up with the money then that's it. Done deal.

It was in the news about a month or so ago that channel 9 and Foxtel both want the Bears,
I’m sure it would be on here a few pages back if you want to revive your memory.

Here is one Perth player I believe could handle it in the NRL, Joondalup Giants Prop forward Joell Irvine, big, strong, tough forward and with a surname like Irvine it’s a shame he would be to old when/if the Perth Bears get off the ground.IMG_3174.jpeg
