Yes and to run a rugby league club properly costs quite the amount of money and all stuff you’re mentioning doesn’t mean anything to the actual club anyways.

Origin and magic round at Suncorp doesn’t go into the Broncos coffers no more then events in Perth would go into a Perth sides coffers. The government also needs to pay money to be awarded those events to begin with and a lot the money injected goes to local businesses anyways - not directly to the governments accounts. They get a portion sure.

So you’re correct that having an NRL club is beneficial but what’s more beneficial is having an NRL club that can actual self sustain itself.

We are in essence talking about two different things here. Now go back to your economics books.
There's your problem bro. The bears aren't in the NRL. They are an overarching failure.

WA does not have a culture of Leagues Clubs. Sure a Perth based NRL team may look into a dedicated fans hospitality venue but they may not need to. WA is very used to Membership structured clubs and that's worked well for us, with our clubs in other codes being amongst the wealthiest in their leagues, or in the case of the Eagles, in the entire country.
Didn't the Reds and Glory go bust?

You`re a builder I get it, if you don`t understand all the benefits that a state gov`t would get from having a multi-million dollar sporting franchise set up in their state then I can`t help you.
Even just a simple one like more employment should give you an idea.

What fkn details they haven't released a bid, it's just all talk, he'll there's 2 Christchurch bids ffs
That's right. I was responding to Iamback saying we shouldn't be putting holes in the bears bid. But he's happy to put holes on the Perth stand alone.

There`ll be plenty of interest when they become a powerhouse one state team that is a regular top 4 contender. There`ll be interest when they play anybody.

yes and that will take time.

We likely don't see that in the 1st TV cycle they are in.

Then the deal is less as opposed to the 9th game getting average ratings and keeping the value up

Despite a stadium not really fit for NRL, a business case that fails to stack up, no value to TV and pretty much everyone else in the NRL thinking its a terrible idea Vlandys seems determined to make the train crash happen.
PRS is too small and has terrible corporate facilities.

The Perth bid lacks assets and will rely on generating revenue from a very small fanbase in a parochial fumbleball market.

Perth's time one offers zero value to Ch9. No one outside of Perth gives a f**k about RL in Perth.

Only an idiot would dedicate decades of their life to advocating for a team in a barren backwater fumbleball market that's infiltrated by hillbillies. The Dutch took one look at Western Australia and sailed off as fast as they could because it's a shithole. Shit attracts shit. That's why Butthurtski and Perth Rat ended up in Perth.

Well, if the NRL truly believes in PNG, they'll try to sell it to stakeholders (existing clubs, broadcasters, sponsors) as "this will be a great success", right...?

In the hope that they can will it past any hurdles.

The aim with PNG would be the make the product valuable to International TV providers.

PNG will be team 18. Perth will be 19th so there wont be an extra game for them to affect TV.
